Pavonia Life Insurance Company of Michigan

After being a long over 10 years customer and suddenly I missed payments due to my husband lost his debit card and forget to update bank info. I was in long travel on business overseas . No one checked mails when you sent alert about payments . When I returned. I called to update info but was late , you sent me package with all form that needs to reinstate policy , I filled out all forms, included money order , send it - and ….pass more than month - silence … no approval , no coverage , no money order . I called - representative said - it is under review ! What kind company is that / so long review and no reply . I am traveling a lot and need life insurance to protect my children . Well, after 10 years being with with, I am done and switching to another company . Also. It’s so uncomfortable and inconvenient that you don’t have online portal that customer can manage payment option, update bank details etc… see policy .

I purchased a Term life insurance policy for $a month from HSBC which apparently transferred or change to Pavonia LifePayment was withdrawn from my account monthllyI recently notice that my insurance premium hadn’t been taken from my accountI called Pavonia todayI was told that my policy had lapsed in May because I didn’t return the renewal form ( which I didn’t received) which increase my monthly payment from $monthly to $a month and the only option that I would have if I had received the notice was to pay the $or lapsed th policy which is what they did bc they no longer sell life insuranceI have no knowledge of what the options were for HSBC seeing that who I purchased the insurance fromThere was no option to lower the coverage or premium with Pavonia You either pay up or get the hell outYou’re forced out of the company with no regard to your previous committee or you life coveragePlease investstigate this insurance company

Same thing happened to me that happened to the other customer they lapse my insurance without any notice telling me that my funds was not in the bank and I have overdraft protection called the bank and they told me that I have money in the bank so they did not try to withdraw any money out my account for my monthly bill had this insurance for since paying $this company needs to be investigated now life savings down to drain with no life insurance

Having took out involuntary unemployment insurance with a loanThis Company was the one in control.And I do mean they are in control! They keep asking for the same info to prove you became unemployed,you send them everything you haveYou call them and it is under reviewHad received two additional request for info and both with a different Company name on letter headThey send you in circles and do nothing they are paid to do.Of course all the time messing with them found a job and caught my loan up by myselfThis place needs to be investigatedAll they do is ask for paperwork and does nothing with it

My husband and I faithfully paid our monthly premium and even had it auto-draftingMy husband passed away May 7, and it is now September 7, and they still say that the claim is under review despite having the death certificate (natural causes) since August 1stThey requested notarized receipts for the funeral and cemetery costs, which both were received by August 13th and still it sits on someone's desk awaiting a signature of approval to disburse the fundsThis is ridiculous and inexcusableI would never recommend this company to anyoneAs if it is not hard enough losing my husband's income and trying to make it week to week now I have the worry of this company not paying out on the policy that we paid every payment on since Every time I speak with someone they each have their own different story about where they are with the claim and how long it will beBeware of doing business with this companyI have now reported them to the state department of insurance so that the insurance commissioner is aware of the poor practice of this company

I am selling my life insurance policy through a life settlement company due to my shortened life expectancy The life settlement company requires an "illustration" of future premium costs Pavonia refuses to comply with this request
