Went to Smitty's on May 28th , to have my AC fixed after having a diagnostic check where a couple of times I called, different people that answered gave me different pricesThey finally settled around They told me it was the condenser and some other partsCharged me all together with labor I fixed itThen, on July 30, 2015, while I'm on my way to StHelena Island for vacation, my AC stops workingAfter I get back, I take it to them and they couldn't find my file for what they didLuckily I still had my receipt in my carI give it to them and they say to leave the car with themI leave the car with them and within minutes a man named Donnie calls me telling me that now it's my compressorTells me it will cost dollars and that they would be nice enough to take off from itI was flabbergasted by themHow dare they! I went to a couple of other auto repair places and was told that the compressor itself cost for my Honda AccordBut even so, there was a possibility that Smittys may have known this would happen and wanted to charge me for labor again?!!! Hard to prove but left a very sour taste in my mouth I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyoneThey're a complete ripoffThe only way you may get a decent job done may be if you actually know the ownersThis is my opinion, otherwise stay away from this horrible place! Women get taken advantage by mechanics all the time and businesses like this are probably the reasonI'm in the hole and have no working AC! Now it will cost me another to get AC fixed and I will get it done somewhere else!

They finally settled around 40. They told me it was the condenser and some other parts. Charged me all together 600 with labor 310. I fixed it. Then, on July 30, 2015, while I'm on my way to St. Helena Island for vacation, my AC stops working. After I get back, I take it to them and they couldn't find my file for what they did. Luckily I still had my receipt in my car. I give it to them and they say to leave the car with them. I leave the car with them and within 45 minutes a man named Donnie calls me telling me that now it's my compressor. Tells me it will cost 900 dollars and that they would be nice enough to take off 300 from it. I was flabbergasted by them. How dare they! I went to a couple of other auto repair places and was told that the compressor itself cost 415 for my 2011 Honda Accord. But even so, there was a possibility that Smittys may have known this would happen and wanted to charge me for labor again?!!! Hard to prove but left a very sour taste in my mouth. I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone. They're a complete ripoff. The only way you may get a decent job done may be if you actually know the owners. This is my opinion, otherwise stay away from this horrible place! Women get taken advantage by mechanics all the time and businesses like this are probably the reason.
