Review: I contracted this company for the cutting and removal of a large oak tree and a tall pine tree. Work was completed in 1 day. I stupidly paid the guy in full trusting he would return the next day as promised to remove the tree from my yard. He never returned!! I called several times from different numbers. He would only reply to texts and promised EVERY day he would come tomorrow to haul away the trees and never showed up! I only have his first name "Jordan" his business card had no name, address or website. I've tried to search the Secretary of State corporations database and the insurance commissioners database but no luck! This guy is a thief. He took my money and ran. Now I'm obligated to haul this stuff away by myself. A single mom. This guy is a scam artist!!Desired Settlement: I just want him to perform the services he was paid to complete!! To haul and dispose of these trees in my back yard!

Me and my family ended up dragging all of the trees to the road, having to cut very large logs into small pieces just to be able to move them. This took us about 5 hours of labor. I would like the company to return whatver it computed into my total for tree removal.

Review: I hired Payless Tree Service to remove several trees from my property in preparation for hurricane season. The trees are cut down but the mess is not cleaned up. There are still four good sized logs left in the backyard that I cannot move myself. There is also a lot of debris that was left all around the yard. They were supposed to have all this cleaned up. Also, they were supposed to stack all the logs and the debris along the curb so the Parish will pick it up. The front of my lot is very narrow so they stacked it back into the yard. The Parish can't pick it up because they can't get close to it. Since they do this for a living I'm sure they realized this would happen. They need to do something so the Parish can pick it up they they said. I made the mistake of paying them before all the clean up was done. Now, I try to call them to no avail. I have left messages which are ignored. No one ever returns the calls. Once when I did get someone, they said they would be there that afternoon. No one showed up. They took the money and ran. Now I am faced with hiring someone to haul the debis off which will be a very expensive project.Desired Settlement: Refund of the cost to have it cleaned up by someone else.

Review: A man ([redacted]) from Payless Tree Service stopped by one day early this summer after noticing a dead tree in my front yard and quoted me $150 to cut the tree and stack it in 4' pieces for the city to remove. I had not called the man back until September 11. I was pleased when he said he could do it that same day and he said it would only take 20-30 minutes. He then told me that for small jobs he asks for cash. I let him know that I did not have that kind of cash on me, but I would instead be writing him a check. So I wrote the $150 check out to the company name on the business card and placed it in a envelope as I was leaving (and running late) to get my son. But, sure enough, he had just arrived. So I ran over and handed him the envelope. He then asked me to make a new check out to cash. I should have just told him No then and there. But, I told him I would be back. I came back, tree was done and there he was waiting on me. And the tree trunk was under the required 4', but the branches were just cut nearest the trunk and there were 12' pieces in a huge unorganized stack covering the entire width of my lawn. I asked him about the pieces that were over the 4' promised and he said that the city had a big truck that could pick up those branches as they were. I then told him that I would not be writing a new check out to cash as I called the company and hired the company, so I was paying the company. It was obvious that something was very fishy as he offered to knock $20 off the price for a check made to cash. After the debris was refused by the city for not being in 4' pieces and tied into bundles of 2' diameter, I called him back. He said he would come back and take care of it on 9/20. He knew that it was to be collected 9/21 and that it need to go because I was worried about the grass dying. He never showed and he dodged all my phone calls. My husband and I had to do it in the rain with my [redacted] year olds for 5 hours! Yet, I paid him $150 for 20 minutes of incomplete work!Desired Settlement: I expect at least half of the money I paid back. The job was not completed as quoted. Only 20 minutes of work was done. We had to un-do the mess of a stack left for us, break it down into organized bundles of 4' pieces that we had to cut from much larger branches, and re-stack it for pick up. This company is completely unprofessional and I didn't even have the space to get into the salesman who posed as the business owner that I tried to help by letting know that this guy was doing side jobs.
