I attempted to call the customer different times on 8-17-upon receiving the email, and left a voicemail to return my phone callFrom that day forward, I have never received a phone call from the customer, they would only respond via emailI provided the services listed on my invoice #*** on
7-29-and the A/C was working before I had leftThe tenant called me back later that same afternoon and I returned to check the A/C operation, which was workingThe services that I provided was $439.00, in which the customer's husband had me discount $offOn July, 30th at 12:15am, I received an email from the customer saying the A/C wasn't workingSo I returned later that morning, saw the thermostat was set to degrees and it was at that temperature upon arrivalI then checked the evaporator coil, saw that it was dirty, and texted the customer a picture of itI had quoted $(not charging another service charge of $63.00, even though this is a different problem) to clean the evaporator coilThe customer's husband again, had me discount the cleaning down to $He said that they had other properties and would consider me for future servicesI cleaned the evaporator coil checked the refrigerant chargeThe A/C is working, I left and several hours later the tenant called me again saying the A/C wasn't workingI told the tenant that I would call the ownerEvery time that I came out it was a different problemI called the customer and knowing that her husband would try to get a discount again, I decided to not charge the $for cleaning the evaporator coil, which was already done and have her call a different A/C company insteadSo all together she had received at least $worth of labor/service and only paid $for it, for having multiple problemsThat's a discount of almost 50%I have over years of personal experience in heating and air conditioningThe customer has had other A/C companies come out to check my work and one saying that the hardstart kit was not even hooked up and that I find very hard to believe.I was never even told about the capacitors until I read this complaintTo replace a dual capacitor with two separate capacitors and hook them up in parallel has exactly the same functionA dual capacitor is just to save space, the capacitance is exactly the same

In the picture of the hardstart kit not being hooked up, if you look at the black start capacitor. It is laying in the horizontal position with 2 blue wires not connected. I installed the start capacitor in the vertical position with the 2 blue wires connected to the compressor run capacitor. The black start capacitor in the picture is hanging past the left corner of the condenser service panel, which means that the service panel cover would not even been able to be closed. I had put the service panel back on when I was done with my work. So someone had definitely tampered with my installation, then the picture was taken.I have attached 3 files that took place within the last 3 weeks, which shows that multiple problems do exist. These were all at different addresses and I have the personal information blocked out for privacy.For example: If you take your car to the mechanic to fix a flat tire, afterwards he tries to start the car, but it won't start. He finds out that the battery is dead and the alternator is not charging. You would be charged for repairing the flat tire, installing a new battery, and replacing the alternator. They are not going to give you the battery and replace the alternator away for free just because you came in to their shop to fix a flat tire.

I am rejecting this response because:
The company neither made an accurate diagnosis of the problem, nor fixed the issue we had called about. It was a different problem every time - because Apex Heat and Air gave a different diagnosis every time. First the capacitor needed work, then the hard start kit needed to be fixed, then the evaporator coil needed cleaning. It was not an issue caused by us , but due to his own mis-diagnosis that he had to come out several times. In any case, he did not fix the issue, even though he was called many times.Not only the tenant, but our realtor who was showing our nearby property stopped by the unit in question and said that the A/C was not blowing cool air. This was after Apex Heating and Air had made his fixes and left.I have attached a picture of the hard start kit and it shows that it was not connected.
