I am responding to you about case number *** I am the owner of Pbm and I followed up with my lead technician ***
this am after receiving your letter late last week We were both confused about the entire complain except one item Ms*** was difficult about the financing of her project and the final payment in general She was reluctant to give us a deposit for the work Once the deposit was received we began work and completed the job in a timely manner We informed her that we were fitting her job in with others that we had already started which she seemed to have no problem with Ms*** seemed very happy everyday when our crew left the job and the job took about three working days to complete Once complete, Ms*** became difficult about finalizing her invoice This is where I feel that the disconnect occurred She felt that we should be paid by *** *** directly and when we informed her that *** *** would be paying her and she would be responsible for paying us that is where she became disgruntled Her invoice was due upon completion of the work and she did not want to pay until she received her check When we informed her that we needed to be paid, she began to avoid us We had to call her and continue to seek the payment She would not even speak to us any longer and we finally received the payment much later in the mail. Here is the one thing I want to be very clear on Our service techs did not smoke inside her crawl space For one, there is only one person out of three who smokes and he did not smoke in her crawl space The area was a confined space and he struggled to just be in the space and perform the work much less lounge and smoke In terms of our receptionist ***, I do not feel she was rude She was just verbally berated by Ms*** on multiple occasions and finally told her to please not be so abrasive on the phone in that Ms*** was very nasty Finally, there is no “work completion form” We provided an invoice and that is all we provide I am more than willing to speak with Ms*** but I am not sure that pleasing her is possible I am sorry our firm wanted to be paid for the work we performed when completed I know it is a crazy concept but we often times are not paid by customers who are paid directly from the insurance company Please let me know how I may be of further assistance.Respectfully,Justin T***

It is hard to fathom the lack of service, harassment and sloppy management of our recent remediation job at our house
PBM was recommended by *** ***They came out to give an estimate for work and scheduled the processTheir team came to do, what we were told was a two day job, and were there 2-hours and then left saying that they had to get more materials and lunch and never returned until I called and asked them if they were done with the jobThe replied no My health, our children our house was compromised by the PBM staff smoking in the crawl spaceThe house was filled with smoke when they were at the house doing their jobWhen the crew came they displayed their frustration with *** who quit before the job even beganThe told me how unhappy they were about him leaving them only a notebook on all jobs that still needed to be started or even completed

First, the facts based upon the response are not accurate! We paid our deposit and it took the business FOUR days to take the money from our accounts, yet we did not pay the deposit in a timely manor. WRONG. I will gladly show proof of the deposits that were paid and on the dates. [redacted] was responsible for I believe, $1200 due to us filing from insurance and we paid our deductible to PBM of $1,000. [redacted], the receptionist, who was less than pleasant, said that they needed the [redacted] money right away before the job was complete.They knew, and have confirmation, that the claim was submitted and payment was on its way ... BUT, that was not good enough. Furthermore, there was smoking under the house and will not argue of that. You are your company put myself and my children in danger by this. It is rude and uncalled for ... Please find a better solution.

The customer needs a copy of the work completion form as well as to hear from the owner of the business to discuss the work that was done and the way the job was handled.

Review: Company did an incomplete job of water damage clean up. They missed a large area upstairs initially which subsequently had to be removed a month after initial loss. They also removed fans and de-humidifiers too soon in the basement causing mold growth on carpet and floors which had to be pulled out a month after the initial incident. They billed me for two visits. The initial one where they missed the upstairs damage and did not set up the proper ventilation in the basement therefore increasing my loss. My ins. company had to call out a second mitgation company to assess the damage as PBM did not do the job they were supposed to initially. They left a huge hole in the basement wall leading to the underneath of the deck outside.Desired Settlement: My insurance cmpany requested billing information which was never provided according to their phone conversations. They overbilled me on the second invoice for services they never provided per ins agent and company. The initial bill included services they never followed thru on or provided effectively or at all which created the second opinion from another water mitigation company, as well as subsequent mold growth in the basement and additional loss upstairs which was not caught by PBM. The most recent invoice sent to me is still incorrect. They can not correctly recall services rendered. The only service they did correctly was the removal of the sheetrock on the first visit and removal of linoleum on 3rd level which never should have been, had they done their job correctly the 1st time and caught the damage on the first visit. Sheetrock removal from first visit was the only work this company did that did not cause me further damage to the house. Their billing department has false charges as well as inconsistent amounts on their invoices.
