PC Doctors, Inc. Reviews (2)

This complaint was resolved two weeks ago and the customer said he would contact Revdex.com but, I guess he never did

PC Doctors would like to first
state that we did try to offer a partial refund to the customer, and try...

to
explain to her that PC Doctors charges a $50.00 diagnostic with a $25.00
deposit.  By state Law we are also
required to charge Tax on all services, and cannot refund and tax paid to set
services.  PC Doctors Policy States that
all computer will be Charged this Diagnostic Fee, and the customer Sign off on
the receipt acknowledging this charge. We now require that all customers put
down a min of $25.00 to insure that the computer is picked up upon completion
of the diagnostic services.  While trying
to explain this to the customer, she had then stated that I was just making
thing up so that I did not have to give her the money back.  At which time she had stated that she was
taking us to the Magistrate because We were being ridiculous.
The Customer Had brought in their
computer complaining that the information on the computer was gone and that
their [redacted] was missing from their Computer.  Also the Customer had stated that the
computer was restored and now was not working right and running slow.  The system restore was the reason the Data
was loss and [redacted] was missing.  The
customer was call and told that there was nothing we could do about the
[redacted] and the data would have to go thought a procedure to retrieve
it.  Then we had Explain to her that
since the computer was restored any virus was have been removed and After this
we explain to her that we would be more than happy to provide free office
software and install Security and any other programs to use the computer.  And we would clean it up to make it work better.
The customer agreed to this work.
Then a Week later the customer came
back with the computer, there were now getting a un-support Browser error,
[redacted] was not working and they were sure that they had a virus on the machine.   Nothing was said about the machine still
running Slow.  At this point we have
check for virus and then had corrected the issues at Hand.  When they come for the computer it was still
working, so we had told the customer that instead of coming back we would let
them take the machine ant let it finish at their house.   She had called back over a week later
telling Us that she wanted her money back because The Computer was worse now than
it was a month ago. Her computer was called a 299 special because these
computer are sold by [redacted] and [redacted] to be a Cheap Computer repair, These
machine are set to have a short shelf life to make the customer either buy a
more expensive Computer or to have them come back and buy another one.  They are not design to be fast in any way but
are a basic machine for e-mail and word documents.
