Review: I brought my computer to this business for a specific problem. To have the Logic Board fixed on my computer and that is all I wanted. The [redacted] was given multiple chances to fix my computer. Each time It was giving me the same issue. At one point I was told it was the battery, and then the graphics card. Then I finally took my computer to [redacted] and they said it was water damage. Multiple times I was told that %100 of my money would be refunded. He still hasn't given me the money for replacing my battery. It had nothing to do with the problem and I had to drive back and forth to his business just to find out nothing had been fixed. I believe that he should be held accountable for all that he charged me for. I was told it would be fixed and its not. He should have told me from the start it was water damage. Not fix stuff that didn't need to be fixed.Desired Settlement: He needs to fully refund me, not part of it, all of it. My computer is still broken and he charged me for an expensive battery I didn't need.

Response:

The computer was brought to us on 11/**-2014 severely water damaged. We performed repairs and subsequently it was picked up on 11/**/14. About a week later, the computer developed more issues and it was brought back to us, we took it back to the shop and determined that the damage was much more extensive. At that point we decided to refund the repair price and a check was mailed to the address provided to us by [redacted] in [redacted]. The check was issued on December [redacted] 2014, the check number is [redacted]. On or about mid January 2015, we received a call from a lady claiming to be the landlord of that location telling us that such person had never reside at that address and wanted to know who he was and that she was in possession of the check. She further stated that she was going to mail the check back to us. At this point we contacted [redacted] and he advised us that he had moved to Bloomington, IN. We had to wait for the check to be return to us from the landlord in order to re-issue another one. The check finally arrived to us around February [redacted] 2015, we issued another check on February **, 2015 check number [redacted]. This check was cashed on 03/*/2015. Upon receipt of the check [redacted] then asked to be refunded for a total separate transaction regarding a battery he had purchased because the battery on his laptop was failing. Batteries can be returned within 10 business days, not three months after; in fact, most stores will not accept batteries returned if they have been taken out the original packaging. It appears that [redacted] is trying to profit from a computer that unfortunately is not reparable. We stand behind what we say, we fix it or is free. Unfortunately our best efforts were not sufficient to rescue this badly damaged computer. Respectfully, [redacted]
