Review: On Thursday, July **, I authorized a payment of $699 for a 2-year support contract with PC Tech Resolve. They had provided some remote support to a problem I was having and told me that my home network had been hacked. To address this, they ran some software on my desktop and they told me that they were running a service on my computer and to leave the computer on for 24 hours while some sort of process ran. After reconsideration, I decided I did not want the 2-year contract so I turned off the computer to stop the service and disconnected my network to interrupt any processes running on our network. I did not want to continue receiving a service I did not intend to pay for. I then called my bank to stop payment on the electronic check I had authorized. The bank did put a stop payment on the check but they also suggested I call the 3rd-party company that processed the payment to see if they could stop payment on it, but the 3rd-party company had already processed it. PC Tech Resolve called the next day to see how things were going and I indicated that I had turned off my computer and disconnected the network and that I no longer wished to receive their services. I also indicated that I had put a stop payment on the check. The person I spoke with said that they would have gladly refunded my money if I had asked them and that they were running a legitimate business. He said that a stop payment would put a "black mark" on their company and he asked me to contact the bank to allow the check to go through and that they would promptly refund my money. The check ended up going through my account and PC Tech Resolve got their money. I then called PC Tech Resolve to explain that the check had been processed and that I wanted my refund as promised. I was then told that the refund request was submitted and that I would receive it back into my account. Several days passed and I did not see the money in my account. When I called to inquire, I was told that it would take 7-10 business days for the refund to arrive at my bank. So I waited. Friday, August **, was 10 business days and I still had no refund. I called to ask where my money was and was told that the refund had been processed on their end and that they couldn’t explain why I didn’t have it. I have been told no fewer than 4 times that someone would call me back with an explanation and I have not received a call. I was told that someone would call my bank to help identify the problem, and no inquiry was done. I was told that someone would email me a receipt of the refund and I have not received an email.

I even agreed to pay the one-time fee of $149 for the time they took in the initial call. I have been patient and fair and I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want my money back as I had been promised.

Review: Ordered online with understanding that a refund would be issued if cancelled in 30 days. I cancelled 10 days after charge of $599.99 dated Sept.**,2014 by Charge One. I have been calling their representative [redacted] and had conversations about the refund and he agreed to the refund. Still no refund and he ignores my phone calls to settle this refund. I am 72 years retired veterans and really was coursed into this deal to help me navigated my computer problems. I respectfully request your help. Thank you.Desired Settlement: refund of $599.99

Review: On September **, 2013 at &:00 AM I received a call from a person (unknown phone number) advising me that my computer was infected and that he represented microsoft. After a few minutes I felt that it was a scam. I the got on the internet and looked for a Microsoft contact number. I seen a site that stated Microsoft support an d a phone number of ###-###-####. I called the number. I explained what happened and the person on the line advised me that I called the right place. He was definitely of [redacted] or [redacted]. He proceeded to provide me with information and that he could help with the problem. He did a scan of my computers (2) and told me that they both were infected with Trojans. He then suggested he would find a local Microsoft store to take it to. Then he told how much it would cost. Then he suggested he could repair it. I agreed to let him look at the computers. All the while he kept showing me that he was from Microsoft. He won my confidence. After two hours both computers seemed to be fine. He then set up billing. At that time he told me the services were $499.99 which gave me a 1 year certification of repairs etc. I wasn't happy then I said alright. In offered to pay with my credit card. He said no. Microsoft only accepts checks. I was very reluctant and unfortunately I gave him my checking account number. Then In had a Company named Charge One Payment Verification call. They really made me feel uncomfortable. Then I realized I had been scammed. I stopped payment on my check and finally got the real Microsoft people. The found two viruses on both computers. They were both identical. Also the PC Tech Resolve loaded Microsoft essentials on my computer which I later found out is free. The real Microsoft unloaded all of PC Techs Software. We changed e mails passwords, etc. This company in my opinion is bogus and is very harmful.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay the $499.99. The re infected my computer with their software. They are hackers and should be prosecuted. I also feel that the FBI and NYPD need to be aware of this group's activities.
