I was contacted by a representative of this staffing company concerning a job opportunity in our initial conversation, Red flags began to pop up from the very startInitially I dismissed them.....For instance, I shared that I had discussed this very same opportunity with another staffing company just the day before, and that had concern over the distanceDespite having knowledge another there was already another staffing companies involvement, he was persistent and really talked up the opportunity, leaving several messages/emails asking to speak further
As a result of his persistence I entertained further conversationI expressed a potential concerns involving overall travel, and also shared my minimum salary requirements; yet the figure he sited in proceeding conversations fell short of what I had stated (another red flag)I did eventually concede to scheduled an appointment to meet at his office, but after careful deliberation decided the opportunity was not what I wanted to pursueOnce I came to that realization, I sent correspondence (well in advance of our scheduled meeting) to withdraw my interest and cancel our pending meetingI graciously thanked him for his time My response was professional, respectful and and courteousUnfortunately, I did not receive the same considerationWithin minutes of my sending the email detailed above, I received a response that I can only conclude was NOT intended for me, and was met with the following " *** decided miles is to far to drive.....she is weird and very stubborn......oh well " there was more but I'll leave it at thatI understand it is a dog eat dog world, but this response was totally unprofessional and unwarranted, I would not recommend this staffing company to anyoneI can say, from past experience there are staffing companies out there that treat job seekers with the utmost respect
