PD3 Tinting & Design Reviews (5)

This is Paul from PDTint & Design, I wanted to make you aware that Jessica Phas been Refunded the full amount of $and returned the remote start that was installed in their vehicleI wanted to let you know that an agreement was reached so there is no pending disputeJessica told me she would let you know, but I wanted to let you know personally because through this whole process I do not have much trust for someone who was trying to sabotage a small business in any shape or form they couldI also have a signed receipt from both party's stating that a refund was issuedlet me know if you would like a copy of that as well so we can close this dispute. Thanks, Paul JD*** IIIPDTinting & Design

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The statements made by Paul are and inaccurateHe never once said it could be done in one hour after he finally got back to us hours laterHe told us to leave the vehicle there and he would get started on it at 3pm(It was at that time). Whether he had positive reviews on previous services doesnt have anything to do with the fact that he refused to make his errors right for a paying customer. I have since lost battery power three times and was stranded due to improper wiringI can easily obtain an estimate and report from a reputable shop to explain the damages he caused to my vehicle. Yes, this gentleman was extremely rude when I called from out of state on a road trip where I discovered he did not replace my hood latch, resulting in my inability to put wiper fluid in my vehicle when I ran out on a road trip when it was snowing nor was I able to get an oil change as I lost access to popping mely hood I was ignoredLater he posted on his *** page explaining that he had blocked the both of us. We in no way did anything wrong except contact this business for a resolution. The response to this complaint is completely inaccurate. Its also quite interesting that when he had a 10am appt he had zero access to his messages yet had plenty of time to make a post of an ad on his *** business page at 1030am. My vehicle is in worse condition then when brought to himThe alarm always goes off when starts which isnt the proper way of operatingMy battery keeps dying due to improper wiring and I had to pay to have my hood latch fixed. This is completely improper business etiquette and as a paying customer we should not have been put in this position for a service we paid for. the drop box he had at the time of our appointment was not a theft safe box and anyone who walked up to the shop had access to reach in and grab our keysThats not practice for a key drop and a customer shouldnt have to leave their keys accessible to others when their vehicle is parked in front of the shop in a bad neighborhoodTheft of my vehicle when I was asked to leave it for an additional 5hours after already waiting 3hours from our appointment time for a response was the last thing we neededSo no, we did not find that as a reasonable solutionIf this cannot be properly resolved here we will file for small claims court to get a resolution. Please reach out with any further questions. *** ***

Attached is a signed document from Jessica and I stating that I refunded her in full $I also attached a photo of the Remote Start Unit that she Returned to meLet me know if you need anything else. Thanks! Paul JD***

It is clear that neither parties can come to an agreement with regard to what occurred and the circumstances and correspondence surrounding this dispute.  I too would like this resolved as I have never had to deal with an issue or complaint. It is my opinion that I have been completely reasonable and made multiple attempts to satisfy them, however, it became impossible and led to enduring harassment. At this time I would like to offer the following resolution: I will provide the full reimbursement of $249 once I remove the remote start unit from the vehicle and it is in my possession for restocking. Sincerely,  Paul J D[redacted] III

Again, I would like to apologize for the late response and as previously discussed, I was not getting my mail in my own box but rather it was placed in a central mailbox of the owner/ person responsible for maintaining the property. The complaint submitted by [redacted] is regarding a remote...

start that I installed in her/ and her boyfriend [redacted]’s car. I initially and primarily dealt with [redacted] and I just want to preface with that at no time was I ever rude to either of them.  I am self employed with no other staff and I rent a single garage that does not have a customer waiting area. When [redacted] brought the car to my shop for a remote start install he did not have anyone follow him, therefore, he did not have a ride so that he could leave and then pick up his vehicle upon completion of the service. A typical remote start install takes roughly between 2 to 4 hours depending on the vehicle and the model or enhanced features of the remote start. This was explained to [redacted] and he decided to wait for the service and he walked to a nearby cafe. He came back to the shop before the install was finished and I told him that it would be at least another hour. [redacted] left and came back about 30 minutes later. I explained that there was only one thing left to do which was enabling the features for the door locks to open and close via the remote fob and that if he did not want to wait any longer he could use his physical key to open the locks for now. [redacted] said “cool” that doesn’t matter to me. Please note there was another person in my shop who could corroborate that conversation. I showed [redacted] how everything works and he was very happy upon leaving my shop. We even exchanged business cards. A few days later [redacted] texted me to say that his factory alarm system goes off sometimes when he starts his car. I explained the reason why that may happen and said you have to hit unlock on your key before starting it and he was not happy He said, “I shouldn’t have to do all of that.” I wanted him to be satisfied so I told him that if you do not want to have to do that then you could bring the car back in and I will hook up the lock feature on the fob which I would have initially done had he not rushed me with coming back and forth before the car was ready. I take pride in the work I do and I will always spend extra time if needed to ensure a job well done.  He agreed to come back and said that he could drop his car off on Saturday and although it is my busiest work day, I wanted to get this done for him so I put him on the schedule for Saturday.  On that Saturday he arrived at my shop and I was not on site. As I often have to leave to pick up or drop off vehicles and I also do commercial tint. [redacted] apparently began texting me upon his arrival and as I’m sure many other customers or potential customers may have been texting me or calling me too, however, I am not always able to tend to my calls as they come in because I may be working but in this case I was actually dealing with an issue. My furnace in my shop ceased and of course it was on a very cold bitter day. I was out purchasing a portable heater so that I could work and when I was able to get to my texts, I had several from [redacted] who was irate because he came to the shop and I was not there. I explained the situation in a text and the issue I was dealing with and reminded him that he was supposed to drop off his vehicle. Dropping off a vehicle is a typical practice just as it is when having any other maintenance or repairs done on a vehicle. [redacted] continued on with his nasty texts and stated that at least a phone call or text would have been nice. I get an exorbitant amount of texts and calls for inquiries, quotes, etc. and I typically set aside some time later in the day or when I’m taking a break to look at messages. Plus it was agreed that [redacted] was dropping his car off, therefore, I did not even think that a call was required. In hindsight, I wish I did.  I told [redacted] then to come back and pull it right in and I’ll have it done within an hour but he did not want to hear it and just continued on with his rants. I said “okay-let’s try this- what would you like me to do?” I did not receive a response and a couple of days later, [redacted]’s girlfriend, [redacted] began texting and calling me and left somewhat of what I thought was a reasonable voicemail message. I figured I would give it another attempt and would just deal directly with her. I tried to explain what had occurred and stress that customer service has always been my number one priority. Well that ended up going nowhere and I continued to get harassing texts so I blocked both of their numbers. And I guess at that time is when they decided to launch a personal attack on my business and began posting negative comments on various sites as well as writing bad reviews on my business page with inaccurate information. I learned about the various posts they wrote on the marketplace and other sites from family, friends, customers, and colleagues. I am well respected in this industry and am held in high regard. I am often referred to as being one of the best in my line of work. I also worked for two very well known and established company’s, [redacted] and [redacted] prior to my venture into business. I have many professional connections that I collaborate with regularly. If you take a look at the reviews on my FaceBook page [redacted] you will be able to see yourself how satisfied my customers are with the level of service that I provide and the work I do.  [redacted] repeatedly indicated in her complaint that I was rude. My guess is that she did not enclose any documentation to support her claim because it simply is not true. Please find attached the text message thread that was referenced. Also, although I cannot prove this, in addition to the harassment and bad publicity that my business suffered from their actions, my business sign was also vandalized and taken down during this same time period. Please see attached picture.  Ironically, one of my colleagues who operates an audio sound shop believes that he recognized [redacted]’s name/ [redacted] page as the same person who also wrote bad reviews and created  a stir about the service he received when he had a radio/ navigation system installed in his vehicle.  In summation, there is not anything to support that the issues that [redacted] and [redacted] said they are having with their vehicle has anything to do with the installation of a remote start- except for the factory alarm sounding which I already explained to him from the beginning on how that works, how he could override it, or he could bring it back in. They also could have had other work done to their vehicle and I would have no way of knowing that. The remote starter itself is working as it should, the only thing not programmed is the door lock feature. It is installed correctly and would have nothing to do with a battery drain. However, the very frigid days we had in Buffalo at that time can definitely drain a battery.  Please let me know if you have any questions or require any additional information. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you.  Sincerely,     Paul D[redacted] III
