I have to believe this is the worst company I've ever experienced I had friends tell me when they moved or bought a new house they specifically looked for places that DID NOT have Peace River Now I am one of those same people My husband and I have lived in Lakewood Ranch for yrs and have had to put up with PR this entire time When we decided to buy a home outside of LWR we told our realtor that one criteria for a new home is that it MUST NOT have PR as a utility They are ridiculously overpriced and for what? A member picnic once a year? Give me a break Avoid Peace River at all costs Their customer service is HORRIBLE Every time I call I wait a minimum of 20-minutes for someone to answer One time I was on hold so long the on hold message & music ran out and for another mins I listened to dead air I hate this company and everything they stand for

Peace River Electric is the absolute worst company in florida Have had them unfortunately for over years They charge whatever they feel they want to, of course there is no government regulations to stop them Every summer and every winter they increase our bill by at least 100$ and when we call them we get the same answer, " your running more ac or more heat" And every year I tell them I do not have central heat or air Then its " well your fridge knows what time of year it is and is running more" HUH????? But the answer is always the same, Pay up or don't have power Its like dealing with loan sharks every month wondering what the next bill will be And the continuous extra deposits should be illegal, but again they are not regulated Wish I had an alternate avenue but alas we do not
