Peak Lawn Maintenance & Landscaping Reviews (%countItem)

Peak Lawns ruined our lawn and it was for a money grab. First they said our yard was full of weeds and we would need those removed. So after a significant cost, the weeds were removed which left mud everywhere. They had no plan to address that. When asked, the owner said 'the grass would grow back in 3-6 months.? When we said it wouldn't be acceptable to live with mud for 3-6 months, he said he would replace the grass. Instead of doing what every other landscaper has done and even out the area where the new grass would be, and then put in new grass, the workers placed new grass on top of old grass and now there are humps all around the yard. It looks like a patchwork quilt. Also, they missed spots so there are still muddy areas still that my dogs track on the patio. When we asked him to repair it he went back to his same old answer'it will grow back. It may, with roller coaster hills and mud spots where they missed the grass altogether. They tried to blame my dogs, but my dogs didn't put in new grass like a patchwork quilt.

Desired Outcome

No settlement requested - for I don't want them to come back. We will hire someone else. We don't trust them now.

Peak Lawn Maintenance & Landscaping Response • Mar 13, 2020

I want to begin by addressing her full complaint:
Peak Lawns ruined our lawn and it was for a money grab. First they said our yard was full of weeds and we would need those removed. So after a significant cost, the weeds were removed which left mud everywhere.
Response: Removing weeds cannot leave mud. They are simply sprayed or hand pulled. Neither cause mud.
They had no plan to address that.
Response: We addressed many times. With Mr. and explained that if the dogs dig up the grass there will be weeds. That is out of our control.
Response: After new grass was placed we explained that it takes time to for it to grow in so you don't see the line in between the pieces. Sod is sold in pieces, we cannot help that, nor can any other landscaper. If we had a way to make it grow together in a day we certainly would.

Response: As she clearly states her dogs are all over this new sod that has not been able to grow in yet. It started looking bad and not growing well after being torn up by the dogs as you can clearly see in the attached photos.
Our Response:
We did multiple jobs for the customers that were approved before we began. I have attached the email confirmation from Quickbooks showing the estimates were sent and of course approved. We dealt with Mr. fully until the email we received from Mrs. that I have also attached.
We explained many times before and after the sod was put down that their dogs cannot go on it unattended. t takes time to get established. Our requests were ignored after multiple phone and in person conversation about the detriment the dogs were doing to the new sod. As you can see by the pictures, the issue with the sod was not how it was put down. There are pieces turned up from being dug up by their dogs. In image 0531, you will see a strip of sod that was put down more recently and simply hadn't grown in yet which was also explained.
In addition to that, prior to Mrs. complaint, they had a new roof put on and the roofing contractors had ladders and materials all over the new sod in addition to walking on it. They also had new siding done and separate contractors there for that. We explained many times what that was going to do to the new grass. The sod already had issues from the dogs then all this in addition.
As you will see in the attached google search. It is essential to stay off new sod and we explained this many times.
Last, as you will see from the attached invoices, these jobs were not for only sod which is what the complaint is about and to be clear the sod was the smallest part of both jobs.
