Well, hey, as long as what they're doing is all perfectly legal, right? Because that's what matters.Peak Property know that if we refuse the rent increase and move out, there will be a starry-eyed out-of-towner or fellow Portlander desperate for an apartment right behind usThey're doing it because they're greedy and don't care about what happens to two long-term renters who have kept the place in good condition, and put up with a lot of shoddy or completely-absent maintenance over the years. We asked for a 6-month lease at half the increase in rent they demanded, and this is their responseI shouldn't be surprised. So no, regardless of the fact that everything they're doing is legal, and they're going to get away with it, I don't have to click the accept buttonI don't acceptMost likely, we'll go month-to-month and get out of here as soon as possible, if only so that we don't have to give them any more of our money.I thank the Revdex.com for helping us through this issueIt was a huge help to both *** *** and myself during this trying time

We apologize about any lack of communication We have sent out your move out deposit a few times, once to the incorrect address you gave us My understanding is that you were able to speak with our move out department today and have resolved this issue Again we do apologize for
not getting back to you earlier If you have any questions after receiving your move out accounting we are more than happy to sit down with you

As a property management company we have followed the laws in place for a rental increase.  we are required to give a 30 day notice for all rent increases.  The resident sites California law and has also tried to quote ORS 90.505 through ORS 90.840 as requiring 90 days notice.  This...

portion of ORS refers to manufactured and floating homes which we are not.  ORS 90.155 clearly states that Notwithstanding ORS 90.510 (4), after 30 days’ written notice, a landlord may unilaterally amend a rental agreement.  I hope this clarifies our position to you.  Please contact me at [redacted]@peakpropertymgt.com for any further comunication or our phone at [redacted]Thank youAndrew

Thank you for reaching out to us.  I am glad we were able to resolve this issue
