Peak Vista Community Health Centers Reviews (4)

I will not be returning to this "health" center I made an appointment for a full chein May The extent of my checonsisted of being weighed, and having my blood pressure and pulse checked That was all I am yrsold and definitely need a full exam, but apparently it won't happen at Lane Furthermore, I was treated very disrespectfully At my chein May I was given a sheet of paper from my N.Pordering some lab tests I specifically asked where I should go for them, and was told, "right here." I did as she told me to and called the number for Lane to make an appointment for lab tests The earliest apptI could get was July 15th The person who made this apptfor me knew it was for lab tests, as I made a point of telling her that, because I wanted to get it done as early in the day as possible since I had to fast beforehand When I arrived for my appointment and gave the receptionist the sheet of paper authorizing the labs, I was told I had come to the wrong place, She tried very hard to make it seem like my fault, however it turns out they had lost some lab personnel and were very short handed She was extremely rude and disrespectful to me, but did finally call someone to take blood and urine samples The person who attempted to take a blood sample missed my vein entirely, in two different places Again, she tried to make it seem it was my fault, blaming her incompetence on my not drinking enough water! Absurd! I drink between 8-sixteen ounce bottles of Dasani water every day I have to make sure I replenish my electrolites in a daily multi-vitamin because of my (almost excessive) water consumption! So, in two trips to this "health" facility I was insulted, abused, treated disrespectfully and with total arrogance and refusal to acknowledge their incompetence The personnel in this facility are unprofessional, disrespectful, and incompetent My arm and hand are bruised and sore, and I still have not had a full cheor any lab tests

The system that is in place at Peak Vista has made EVERY SINGLE DEALING WITH THE ANSWERING PERSONNEL ON THE PHONE A HORRIBLE, GRUELING AND ENRAGING experience for meIt increased my anxiety, depression and recently while feeling suicidal it increaed the feeling that NO ONE CARED and NO ONE IS REALLY LISTENING to the patient
I began in June of trying to get in to them right away for a physical/muskuloskeletal issueSEVEN MONTHS later, I finally have a diagnosis to work out a treatment plan forI have had to lead these people through what to do to get this far and when to do whatIts disgusting and ridiculousFor non emergency situations like mine all they wanted to do was refer me to the E.Rrather than schedule an appointment timelyThe sysytem is supposedly set up so people with non emergencies still get immediate help, so why did it take months for me? I was prescribed anti depressant before they ever did an X-Ray, which made me very illOn my most recent visit I was told I have Fibromyalgia, had seen my file to know it was suspected but never been told before ,okHe prescribed LyricaI took it for one week and started thinking suicidal thoughtsImmediately, I TRY to contact my Drlike it saysI was routed to a triage nurse in another building nowhere near my Dr's officetimes in a row by different operatorsReally? SUICIDE!! RED FLAG!! Oh yes they understood and routed me to her again By this time I was feeling like they WANTED me to just do it so they didn't have to figure out how to deal with meI have already been feeling like they just want to put me off hoping I'll die before they get to me so they don't have to be bothered, since the first visit in JuneThere is ALOT more details in each visit I FINALLY managed to get, primarily the first few visits with their P.A., which by now I have concluded means PILL ADMINISTRATOR rather than Physician's AssistantBoth of them I got stuck with were HORRIBLEno bedside manner, no ability to REALLY listen to the patientJust glazed over eyes the whole time I'm trying to relate my issues to them and both wanted to just throw pills at me and go home and take them for six weeks regardless if it made you very sick and gave you a migrainei had to deal with the Manager of those people and see where it comes from*** is convinced the system is fine I'm just pickyYes, when it comes to a Drwho shouldn't be picky? No one should be made to feel like their medical care STAFF from the front desk to the office management doesn't give two hoots about the patientI do feel this way every timeYesterday the 4th or 5th person I got finally actually listened and understood what I was saying: GET A MESSAGE TO MY DRRIGHT NOW! Then the staff in the background was alerted and people came on and said they had told him and talked to me more til I calmedThey did send a welfare unit, which I told them was not necessary but appreciate that they finally did somethingHowever they did NOT bother to call me back as they said they noted and would, to let me know my Dr has no availability til tomorrowI had to call them to find this outI have told every single one of the people I have spoken with at th establishment, including my Dr that their claims of excellent care they plaster all over the was/is completely untrue in my caseWHY? What if I'd left the welfare team came straight in side and done myself in? Would anyone blame Peak Vista for being SO UNheplful? NOThey truly did almost drive me to do it from the frustration they cause me every single time I have to call themGO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

If you have Medicaid there are few PCP in the Springs that accept it so you're pretty much stuck with this place. Or so I thought. I did some checking and Penrose-St.Francis Primary Care accepts it too so I decided to change. Glad I did. I now have a DOCTOR instead of a Physician Assistant as my PCP. I am 53 and was never advised to get a colonoscopy at PV but at Penrose PC they referred me and I had it a week later. Glad I changed because if I had been with PV they would have referred me to another gastro place that I do not like. I had no polyps but I do have diverticulous which I attribute to the narcotics I was put on a couple of years ago due to severe neck pain which cause me constipation.

I have had several issues with this place and would not recommend it.

I will not be returning to this "health" center. I made an appointment for a full check-up in May. The extent of my check-up consisted of being weighed, and having my blood pressure and pulse checked. That was all. I am 70 yrs. old and definitely need a full exam, but apparently it won't happen at Lane.

Furthermore, I was treated very disrespectfully. At my check-up in May I was given a sheet of paper from my N.P. ordering some lab tests. I specifically asked where I should go for them, and was told, "right here." I did as she told me to and called the number for Lane to make an appointment for lab tests. The earliest appt. I could get was July 15th. The person who made this appt. for me knew it was for lab tests, as I made a point of telling her that, because I wanted to get it done as early in the day as possible since I had to fast beforehand.

When I arrived for my appointment and gave the receptionist the sheet of paper authorizing the labs, I was told I had come to the wrong place, She tried very hard to make it seem like my fault, however it turns out they had lost some lab personnel and were very short handed. She was extremely rude and disrespectful to me, but did finally call someone to take blood and urine samples.

The person who attempted to take a blood sample missed my vein entirely, in two different places. Again, she tried to make it seem it was my fault, blaming her incompetence on my not drinking enough water! Absurd! I drink between 8-10 sixteen ounce bottles of Dasani water every day. I have to make sure I replenish my electrolites in a daily multi-vitamin because of my (almost excessive) water consumption!

So, in two trips to this "health" facility I was insulted, abused, treated disrespectfully and with total arrogance and refusal to acknowledge their incompetence.

The personnel in this facility are unprofessional, disrespectful, and incompetent. My arm and hand are bruised and sore, and I still have not had a full check-up or any lab tests.
