While I appreciate MrYoo’s son reaching out to me, his outreach didn't solve the matter of me being compensated for my damaged coatI would still like to see what can be done to compensate my damaged coat as I reached out to the manufacturer (Via Spiga) and they informed me that; while, they are sorry to hear about my coat, they cannot take responsibility for an issue not their fault

factsThe care label on the jacket states that this coat needs to be dry cleanedThis coat was handled and cared for with the same level of attention as we do with all of our customers' productsThe dry cleaning process does not have a hot or more rigorous washing functionIt is the same for all productsTherefore, we washed the coat as per the care label and the coat's "leather" lining did not hold upThe care label on the jacket states that the trim is faux leather and not real leather(60% polyurethane, 35% cotton, and 5% viscose) Faux leather made with the proper materials will certainly endure the dry cleaning process without problemsHowever, faux leather made with subpar materials have been known to crack - I have seen it in products made in China, Pakistan, and South/Central AmericaI have contacted *** *** to contact Via Spiga to complain about her coatI made a call to Via Spiga and explained the situation to them and they were sympathetic and seemed willing to help find a solutionHowever, as I did not have the model number, I could not go further along in the processThe contact is Val D*** and she can be reached at *** or ###-###-####The call with *** *** ended amicablyUltimately, she wants to be compensated, but we are both hopeful that Via Spiga will compensate and/or replace her coat for her

We have done the utmost in regards to this situation to make amends with [redacted] has received compensation from [redacted] for her defective coat. As [redacted] no longer wishes to continue with her complaint we also would like to close the case. Thank you.

Review: I took my expensive Via Spiga overcoat ($300) to this dry cleaners and they ruined my once leather band of my coat then tried to blame it on the manufacturer. They did not take responsibility for the damage they caused to my coat.

This review was not done to be malicious but to WARN consumers of what they will deal with should their clothing be damaged. I have attached a photo of my damaged coat. I didn't even receive an apology. It was more like "[redacted]". POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like the dry cleaners to take responsibility for the damage they caused to my coat and compensate me for my coat.
