This is in response to the complaint brought against my repair shopFirst she stated she brought vehicle in the following morning Monday Jan which would be Jan She had car towed back to me on Jan as the repair order was dated when she came inShe was indeed quoted $to and to days repair timeWe removed transmission that day and disassembled only to find major damageAll of the gear train was broken every piece, the underdrive planetary, underdrive sun gear, underdrive ring gear, overdrive planetary, reverse sun gear all the bearings between all the planetariesThe clutches were burntWe had all the soft parts including the torque converter in stock, but no planetariesWe ordered the planet sets from our supplier next day UPS red label air freightUpon looking at the parts we noticed that they were a little different , some had tooth more some had teeth moreI called all over the United States looking for these weird partsI called one place he had trans cores but not with the correct gear train as oursFound that this is a rare transmission only made yearsHard to find partsI found of the parts that we neededI needed to order the others from the [redacted] dealer part came and didn't the next part took an extra weekThat part was on factory back order.It came Friday Jan 29thWe assembled her transmission Monday morning and installed road tested TuesdayIt is ready for pick up She was called at 11:AmI understand it took longer than I told her but the part was not even available at the factoryIt was a ---factory--- back orderI feel that I exhausted all of my efforts to try and find her parts and save her money to try and complete the job within the estimate that I had given herI also was the one who made all the calls to her every couple of days to keep her up on what was happening with the locating of parts and the delivery of parts Her father would call me after and I would inform him alsoI never said anything about storage cost and extra labor costsI also discounted the labor $The total cost of this job was $Again sorry but sometimes parts are beyond our control as far as availabilitySincerely Paul G [redacted]

This is in response to the complaint  brought against my repair shop. First she stated she brought vehicle in the following morning Monday Jan 4 which would be Jan 5. She had car towed back to me on Jan 11 as the repair order was dated when she came in. She was indeed quoted...

$2500.00 to 3000.00 and 3 to 4 days repair time. We removed transmission that day and disassembled only to find major damage. All of the gear train was broken every piece, the underdrive planetary, underdrive sun gear, underdrive ring gear, overdrive planetary, reverse sun gear all the bearings between all the planetaries. The clutches were burnt. We had all the soft parts including the torque converter in stock, but no planetaries. We ordered the planet sets from our supplier next day UPS red label air freight. Upon looking at the parts we noticed that they were a little different , some had 1 tooth more some had 3 teeth more. I called all over the United States looking for these weird parts. I called one place he had 53 trans cores but not 1 with the correct gear train as ours. Found that this is a rare transmission only made 2 years. Hard to find parts. I found 3 of the 5 parts that we needed. I needed to order the others from the [redacted] dealer.     1 part came and 1 didn't the next part took an extra week. That part was on factory back order.It came Friday Jan 29th. We assembled her transmission Monday morning and installed road tested Tuesday. It is ready for pick up She was called at 11:45 Am. I understand it took longer than I told her but the part was not even available at the factory. It was a ---factory--- back order. I feel that I exhausted all of my efforts to try and find her parts and save her money to try and complete the job within the estimate that I had given her. I also was the one who made all the calls to her every couple of days to keep her up on what was happening with the locating of parts and the delivery of parts . Her father would call me after and I would  inform him also. I never said anything about storage cost and extra labor costs.
