I was sold a pair of glasses frames not suited for the thickness of my lenses. On 2/6/19 I was told that the tech had a difficult time getting my lenses into the frames I had chosen because they frames were suited for a thinner lens. On 11/28/2018 I did not purchase the extended warranty. In January, the lenses started getting hairline fractures from stress and now the glasses are totally not usable, having hairline stress cracks all around both lenses. This is not normal, they should not have forced lenses into a frame not suited for my prescription. I went to them in good faith that they were professionals. When they say my glasses yesterday, they told me that they had trouble, but because I did not insure them and came beyond the 30 days that the only think they could do for me was give me a discount for a new pair of frames and lenses. That is not acceptable. This is a defective product, not abuse caused by handling.

She suggested the complaint was submitted by the customer's goddaughter/niece. We have obtained permission by the customer's caregiver to proceed with the order as planned and that no refund is necessary at this time. We have offered to give the customer a complimentary anti-reflective coating on her lenses for her patience in this matter, on top of the discount already extended to her for new lenses. Revdex.com:I can submit my durable power of atty papers on behalf of ***. She already has a pair of glasses that I bought her for Christmas and does not need 2. There first pair of glasses were defective and the relationship between ***' sister-in-law is nothing more than that, there is no legal documents for *** or her husband to make decisions on behalf of Mrs.. Her first pair of glasses were defective and she shouldn't have to pay for another pair. I was told that they were taking her to Pearl Vision to complain about the defect, not make her purchase another pair.

Dear Ms. ---You are not ***, you are submitting a complaint on her behalf. Please include your name so we know how to address you. Ms., who lives with your aunt and takes care of her, has admitted that she is unsure that *** did not drop or damage her glasses in any way. The "cracks" in the lenses were only noticed a couple weeks ago. The glasses have been in her possession for over 3 months and were not defective at the time we dispensed them last year. She declined the warranty that we offer to cover situations like these. We offered to give her a discount on a brand new set of glasses and she decided to take us up on that offer. We did not force her to purchase anything and only want to help ***. Ms. said you purchased progressive glasses for her onkine without consulting her, and she cannot adapt to them as she is used to wearing only bifocals. At this time, we are willing to refund the new glasses purchase but as she did not purchase a warranty for her previous glasses, there is nothing more to discuss regarding that pair. Dishonest, bad customer service, poor communication, over priced and cheaply build glasses. I would not recommend them, bad experience since day one and it continued a year after. Go here if you don't care about your money or bad customer service, otherwise look for some other place to get your families glasses.

We are sorry that you were not happy with your recent experience with us. However, you are asking us to extend replacement of your wife's glasses beyond the 1 year period covered by our warranty and we unfortunately cannot meet that request. We have already extended to you a discount off a new pair of glasses for your wife; please let us know if you should change your mind regarding taking us up on our offer. Thank you

Went to Pearle Vision in Methuen made to get an eye exam and glasses. The prescription they made and lenses were defective. Went to a second Optometrist and had them redo the eye exam and replace the lenses. Went back to the store with the defective lenses and requested a refund for the eye exam and lenses. They refuse to refund the defective service and product. I then called their customer service which was not helpful.
