I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he stated that the consumers one coil went out and it was repaired. The consumer got some other repairs done at a different shop and brought the car back to the business for them to look over. They tightened a hose and everything looked good. Friday night,...

the consumer got in her car and the engine light was blinking. The business drove to her to see what was going on and the other coil went out. They have since ordered the part and is waiting for coil pack and spark plugs that were ordered but lost because the company did change their location. The company told the consumer she would pay for the parts and they would replace the parts.

Review: I returned the leased vehicle with overage on the mileage. I was advised there was no charge for the excess mileage overage because I was leasing a new [redacted] Two weeks later I received a bill from [redacted] Finance in the amount of $4,001.20 for excessive mileage charges. I was shocked because I repeatedly asked Mr. Darryl T[redacted], the internet sales associate, if he was absolutely certain that I would not be responsible for the [redacted]'s mileage overage. Mr. T[redacted] assured me that I did not have to be concerned with the excessive mileage overage if I leased a new vehicle with Pearson [redacted].

Had I been advised at the time of the lease agreement that I would be responsible for mileage overages, I would never have leased the 2016 [redacted] Soul, instead, I would have chosen to finance the remainder of the amount due on the [redacted] and I would have purchased the vehicle. These are material misrepresentations that induced me into leasing the [redacted] Soul. As such, my expectation is that [redacted] remove the charges for additional mileage or rescind the lease of the vehicle and advise whether the [redacted] is still available for sale as per the terms of the lease agreement.Desired Settlement: It is my expectation is that [redacted] remove the charges for additional mileage or rescind the lease of the vehicle and advise whether the [redacted] is still available for sale as per the terms of the lease agreement.

Response:

To whom it may concern, This letter is in response to Revdex.com case #[redacted], Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted]s and his daughter [redacted] visited our store on May 21, 2016 to explore their end of lease options, one of which was leasing a new KIA. The lease for their 2013 KIA [redacted] was scheduled to mature in June, and we appraised the [redacted] as a trade in on the new car. The CarFax for their [redacted], showed an accident with "Airbags deployed" notations. The vehicle was appraised and valued accordingly. In addition to the reported accident, the vehicle also had 54,960 miles on the vehicle, which was more than 18,000 miles over the mileage agreed to in the lease. The salesperson, Darrell T[redacted], explained to the [redacted]s, that if you trade-in the vehicle there will not be a mileage penalty, but turning in a vehicle at the end of the lease will be subject to a mileage penalty. Because of the accident, they were in a "negative equity position" going into the next purchase. When the managers onduty (Chris H[redacted] and Nick E[redacted]t) presented them with the monthly payment for the new vehicle, trading in the [redacted], it was considerably more than they wanted to spend. In an effort to get to a desired monthly payment, the managers also presented the [redacted]s with the option of doing a Lease Turn in, and what that monthly investment would be. In the middle of this presentation, a heated discussion began between Mr. [redacted]s and his daughter. Not wanting to be in the middle of a heated family discussion, Mr. E[redacted]t excused himself from the area, so they could talk privately. After a few minutes of heated family discussion, Ms. [redacted]s left the building, and her father apologized to the managers for what they had witnessed, and stated they would probably keep their car and refinance the remaining balance. On Saturday June 11, 2016 the [redacted]s' returned. Mr. H[redacted] and Mr. E[redacted] were off that weekend. A second team of managers, Toby L[redacted] and Shawn S[redacted], were on duty. When the [redacted]s family arrived, they informed Mr. T[redacted] of their decision to lease a 2016 [redacted]l. Mr. L[redacted] and Mr. S[redacted] were unaware of the previous events from their visit in May. The new vehicle was selected and terms of the sale were agreed to. After the sale, the [redacted]s' left the keys to the 2013 [redacted], to be turned in. I am not without compassion towards our customers, and I work very hard to insure a very pleasant car buying experience. However, I am not sure how a customer would attempt to put this burden on my team, especially when the monthly investment agreed to on June 11, was approximately $100 per month less than the monthly investment they declined in May. There were no "material misrepresentations" communicated by my staff in any way. Based on what transpired in our showroom, Mr. [redacted]s may have been induced into leasing a new Soul by his family member, but not my team. Also, Mr. [redacted]s was aware of the mileage penalty (I have a signed copy of the contract with the "Excessive Wear and Use" clause in it, so that any consumer with a calculator can compute the mileage penalty). It is my opinion that no one on my team did intentionally or by omission, mislead Mr. [redacted]s or his daughter into a new vehicle lease. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me at [redacted]. Best Regards, Robert D[redacted]

Review: I have a [redacted] and took it to Pearson for repair. I told them I was told that my head was probably blown. Speaking to a service representative on the phone asked a quote on how much it would be to repair vehicle and was told approximately $1300.00. I was quoted $1500 from another local car repair shop but thinking it would be better to take my car to the dealership. Well was I wrong this was the worst repair service I have ever gotten. Towed my car to dealership and got a phone call that it was the head and it would be $2700 to fix the car and he did not know why the guy quoted me that. As I was already in for almost $500 because I needed a new battery and cable and diagnostic of car which I feel was excess I went ahead as I was already into it for $500.

They repaired the car and I have had one issue after another. The worst service. I drove car away and first thing I notice is a vibration so I had to take it back they said something had worked loose probably from the tow and they tightened it and I thank them. Drove away again and noticed that my car temperature gauge was not climbing at all and staying on cold and service engine light was on. I called and complained as it is winter and I had no heat and the check engine light was on.. Took the car again to them and I live in [redacted] Va all the way to Henrico and by the time I got there it was getting heat was getting warm. They checked it out and said that they could not find anything and the check engine light was do to something being loose. There solution to me was to drive the car for a week and maybe it would work itself out. I drove off the lot a mile down the road and again no heat. I immediately called them and told them and he suggested again to drive it and it would work itself out. Well hear comes a really cold spell I am freezing driving to work and this is insane as I have spent almost $3000 dollars to drive a car and freeze. I called and asked them had they replaced my thermostat as I know enough about a car if the head was blown and oil is going into the radiator it would clog it and make it stick. There response was no. I asked why in the world would you have not replaced it having the car torn down or even checking to see it worked as the problem was over heating. They agreed finally that maybe they should have replaced it and in order to make me happy if I wanted to I could bring it back in and they would replace it and just charge me for the part and to keep the driving the car to see if maybe it would work itself out.. So I agreed to drive it for a week why I did that I do not know probably dreading to drive it back there again.. Driving the car a few days on the way home from work the car starting sputtering as I am climbing the hill I had to turn around and park it at work almost not making it there and find a ride to [redacted]. Called them and they agreed to have it towed as there was no way that I was going to drive it across town. They called said it was not due to anything that they did and I needed a coil. They only charged me for the part. Again picked up the car only to find out that they had not replaced the thermostat while they had it there and the car was stilling not getting warm. I asked if they had driven to make sure everything was working properly and they said yes. Drove the car away and again no heat at this time I am furious as I am driving around with not heat. I called again and they said to bring it in and they would order the part. My mother passed away so it was several weeks before I could take it over. In the mean while they moved to a new location. I called and made an appointment as my boyfriend said he would drive it there and wait for them to repair it as he thought this is ridiculous. So he takes off work and goes there and waits a few hours and they come back and tell him sorry we cannot find the part we lost it. He said you mean to say I waited here two hours and you come out and say you have lost it. So again we were going to have to drive the car again across town and my boyfriend told them that was unacceptable and they agreed and gave me a rental. They called and said again the car was ready and the thermostat was bad and I was now getting heat. So again had to drive across town and return rental and get my car. Had another issue not related and had to have the repair done to the muffler pipe as my son said it was not connected correctly but he was wrong it was not do to anything [redacted] did but probably what he did while he was driving it. So went to have the car repaired and the repair shop tells me that I have major problems that the it was a bad head job and they was all kinds of oil in the radiator and that was the least of my problems the muffler. I called them again and told them what he said and they said I would never get the oil out of the car totally and that it would be okay. Drove it away and a few days later decided to try to drive it to work getting almost there I notice heat not working and looking once I parked the car I noticed something dripping under my car. When I pulled out I felt it and noticed it was antifreeze no way home I decided to try to drive it and a few miles down the road the car started to get hot and I immediately pulled over and shut car off as I did not want a blown head again. That was the coldest day this year. I am stuck on the road and luckily a man stopped and helped me and had antifreeze and followed me back to work stopping adding it along the way. I was on the phone with [redacted] as this was happening. Again was stranded and had to find a way home to [redacted]. They manager agreed to drive over and look at the car himself as he was a mechanic there as he told me later. He found the leak and he said it was not due to him it was a by pass hose. Again I thanked him and I asked him why would you not check hoses doing a job for overheating and he said they feel them and if they feel okay they do not change them. He said they could fix it of course for a fee and I told him no thank you. I called a mechanic who has my car now and he calls to tell me that who ever worked on my car repairing the head instead of replacing a hose they cut the end of it off and stuck it back on it was crimpled and the clamp was cutting into it and it gave way. Imagine that. I even told there rep there was a hose that blew before they fixed the car and to make sure they replaced it . Wonder if they did that one. So now I am in the process of having to pay another bill for something they should have taken care of. This was an expensive and horrible experience. I am afraid to drive a car that I feel unsafe in now wondering what else will break down due to them not taking the time to see the car was right.Desired Settlement: Outcome will probably be nothing. My desired outcome is that I should be reimbursed for all the times I had to find rides and go back and forth, freezing along the side of the road. The day my boyfriend had to take off work. I should be reimbursed for this repair and they should only charge me for the price they quoted me the $1300. They admitted to the other crappy service they gave me and should own up to this. You would think you could trust a dealership. Actually I should just be charged for parts because there labor stinks.
