I am rejecting this response because:While it may be your business practice, but not an industry practice, to show model units only, your employee completely misrepresented and set expectationsSo it was a bait and switchWhy in the heck would anyone in their right mind see a property different than the unit occupied and potentially lose hundreds of dollars in deposit or fees in the event the unit is not up to standard upon move in? Additionally, why would a tenant waste time setting an appointment to see a specific unit promised to be ready by an employee? Not the way things happenedI am appalled that your company would be willing to lose a prospective tenant and take the word of an incompetent or dishonest employeeI have better things to do than lie about an obvious discriminatory practiceShe persisted to inquire our reason for preferring an upstairs unitIf that's not discrimination than what would you call it? We wasted time and money and are now stuck in a unit that we don't likeWe really wanted to live in that property but I am not going to pursue living in that property any further because of the attitude and the business practices of your company.

In a nutshell, this place is a jokeIncompetent and/or under the influence staff Expectation was set for a particular unit with a good priceWas told to come backCame back at appointment and employee acted like she never had spoken to us beforeEmployee was acting erratic and seemed very odd.Almost like she was showing off for her female coworkerVery unprofessional giggling and making facesThen employee second guessed our unit preferences and denied any knowledge of telling us this unit would be available for showingQuestioned why we wanted a third floor unit (with a child) which is DISCRIMINATIONCorporate office is equally ineffectiveNot sure why people are on payrollYou're in the businees of filling unitsThis is a way to not fill units and actually help your competitorsIcing on the cake is that they want you to pay a deposit and all the fees and sign a lease BEFORE they let you see a particular unitThey claim this is a practice done everywhereI've rented a long time and this is the only company that I've encountered that does this shady practiceIf you accept a unit and there is a problem you are stuck! You will lose a lot of money if you don't occupy itStay far wayDon't let the A rating fool you

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this response in reference Revdex.com Complaint...

ID[redacted] ([redacted]) that was made against
Pecan Pointe Apartment Homes,
I would like to start off saying that I'm truly sorry that we got off on the wrong foot with beginning your stay with Pecan Pointe Apartment Homes. After reading your letter I completely understand that we need to change the way we conduct business in the office. I also understand that we need to work on our follow up so that the lines of communication are always flowing. There is not much that we can do as a group to change what has already taken place and the feelings that you are having from the beginning but prove and show you that we are able and fully capable of changing your view points on how we conduct our business. We will not stop until we have shown ourselves as business professionals in your eyes and will just continue to grow from our mistakes so that this won't happen again in the future.
In regards to the $67 utility fee, I wanted to let you know that this has been removed from your account ledger and no late charges have come from the prior charges. Starting as of October 1, 2014 you only owe your rent, water, trash, pest control, and covered parking which you have paid and currently have a zero balance. This will also be reflected on your next month's statement so that you can see there is no balance going forward,
Lastly. I will make sure that all appropriate documentation will be corrected and stays that way going forward. I will double check all items that are to be signed and make sure that all errors are caught on within our office prior to the resident seeing and signing the document. Mistakes will happen but 1 will make sure that it happens inside the office setting before the residents and future residents see it.
I hope you will again accept or apology for our actions and that you will consider giving the office staff another chance to earn your trust and respect again. We love our jobs and. hope that we can prove this to you now and in the future. Thank you for taking the time to listen to our side and hope that we can come to a resolution with this matter.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

floor that was identical to the floor plan of the unit he preferred. The actual unit he wanted, being on the third floor, was not ready to be viewed at that time. In showing a unit, if vacant and ready, we will show a prospect the actual unit that we have available, however, this is not possible most of the time. Therefore, we try to accommodate the prospect by showing them a unit that is the same or is similar to the unit they are wanting. It is company policy and industry standard, that units are not shown if they have not been made ready. This is not in violation of any TM guidelines and is not discrimination. We do not show any unit to any prospect if that unit is not ready. While we strive to get units ready as fast as possible, we cannot guarantee a date a unit will be available for viewing if the unit is not yet leased. We get units ready in order of priority, with the priority being put first on units that have been leased. Once all leased units have been completed, we then begin work on units not yet leased. Upon showing what we have available, each prospect then has the option to lease or not lease. If they choose to wait to lease until the actual unit is ready for viewing, there is no guarantee that the unit will be available, which is why we encourage prospects to secure the unit with an application deposit. We do not hold a unit for prospects without receiving an application deposit. In inquiring why they wanted to live on a third floor, we encourage our employees to get to know the wants and needs of our prospects so that we are able to accommodate them in the best possible unit for their future home. Therefore questions such as size, floor level, and view are asked to better inform us of the needs and wants of the prospect. Asking these questions is not discriminatory, and us suggesting a different unit is not a bait and switch tactic. It is a suggestion that a prospect may like a different particular unit based on their wants and needs. At no time was Mr. [redacted] told he could not lease the unit on the 3rci floor. Mr. [redacted] made the decision to not lease based on his preferences.
