I was sold a car in december and told just yesterday januray 11 I had to return the car..On December 10 I purchased a car with my daughter at this dealership we were told the loan was approved and signed a contract stating the terms and the name of the bank everything complete...they also payed off her old car for which we received at statement from the bank saying it had been paided off...On January 10 this dealer informs us we must return the car they could not get the loan approved.we had to return the car and they gave us the old car back.no we had to call the bank and they let us assume the loan back on the old car but now we are told we are two months behind...and the dealer tells us that's our problem...that had us sign a contract that I have stating that the name of the bank and lien holder that was financing the car and it was a done deal.they inspected her old car at the time of trade in and said it was fine and gave her what it was worth..upon returning the car to us now it had over a hundred miles more then when we left it and the transmission is slipping.I also have found out thru our bank they ran my credit over 8 times at different lenders trying to get it approved elsewhere which has taking my credit score down to a poor rating it wasn't real hight to begin with but wasn't poor..My daughter who is a full time student who works and has put herself thru college the past four years is distraught frustrated and very embarrassed at this whole ordeal and they tell her its her problem..we have a signed contract deal was complete did all they asked of us and a month later they yell her she has to return the car.now she is unsure if her old car is reliable to take her to work and school..Desired Settlementi am not sure what can be done now as I said we have a signed contract from them saying its was all appproved..one I would like a formal appology to my daughter..Also explain how they can do this give us a binding contract then make us return the car..and like I said now her car is not operating correctly it was when we left it...please tell me what can be done??Business Response Thank you for forwarding this complaint to us. We regret that there was not better communication between the [redacted] and our finance department during their purchase experience. We are pleased to report that since receiving the complaint, Mr. [redacted] and his daughter met with the [redacted] Honda general manager on January 14th at the Honda dealership. At that meeting the general manager was able to fully explain the conditional agreement and finance process, and also explain criteria set by the funding institution. The general manager apologized to both Mr. [redacted] and his daughter for their inconvenience and disappointment. A follow up phone call to Mr. [redacted] was made by our customer relations team the following day. Mr. [redacted] stated that while he regrets the situation occurred, he is satisfied with the efforts of the dealership to resolve their concerns, and that he appreciated the assistance offered by the general manager. The [redacted] were thanked for their feedback and were assured that it will be used as a training opportunity with the finance department. We do hope to see Miss [redacted] in our Honda service lane in the future and also welcome both to reach out to us anytime the need should arise.Consumer Response To whom it may concern the dealership has contacted me and my daughter we have met with them and they did aplogize..They did also make some ammends to make up the two car payments she was behind due to there fault and offered her three free oil changes..they then sat us down and explained what happen according to them..which should have been done from the beginning...This is somthing better than nothing by no means does it resolve the hardship my daughter has been thru or help her at this time but it was a effort more then we got from the beginning..I thanked them for there effort but I also feel without the input of the services of the Revdex.com there would have been no response from them..So my real thanks go to you the people of the Revdex.com..Thank you very much..Mr.[redacted]Final Consumer Response

My elderly mother was car shopping and was taken advantage of by a high pressure sales men.My mother felt pressured and unable to leave the sells lot if she did not buy the car. It was an upsetting experience. My mother had to have her Pastor from the church to support her when she went back to the facility to discuss problems with the car. My mom was felt forced into buying a car she could not afford leaving her on a budget for food, medicine, co-pays, gas and any unplanned expenses budget for $350 a month. She also paid too much for the car. The car company did lower her payment, but extended the years of financing for a 2007 car for over 4 years. My mom felt completely taken advantage of, please help protect our elderly consumers.Desired SettlementRefund or reduction in car price. Something done about the high pressure, forceful tactics.Business Response I reviewed the allegations of the complaint with purchaser Mrs. [redacted], age [redacted] on 3/3/2014 by telephone and she was not able to substantiate any instances of forceful, high pressure tactics. She stated the salesperson had been keeping in touch with her over a period of time to inform her of any specials and was very nice, as was the sales manager. She visited the dealership with her friend to shop for a vehicle, not intending to purchase that day, but admitted that no one forced her to buy the vehicle. Response was made to [redacted], daughter, via email on 3/3/2014Hello Ms. [redacted],I phoned Mrs. [redacted] today about the claim you made with the Revdex.com and the derogatory online remarks you posted to several review sites. Your mother is a nice lady. We talked for over an hour about her visit to the dealership and the purchase of her car. While she expressed that she later regretted her decision to purchase over financial anxiety, she was unable to provide any examples of harassment or dishonest tactics. In fact she stated that the salesperson and the sales manager involved were very nice and that they had discussed her needs and what she could afford early on in the sales process. She also sought the opinion of others by phone that day about her decision to buy, including her friend [redacted] who was present with her on the day that she purchased. While I regret that she is now remorseful, I was unable to confirm any actions that would substantiate your claims. Still, I have reached out to your mother and expressed our desire to make her happy even though we cannot reverse the legal, binding agreements. While there was no wrongdoing, we still care very much about her satisfaction and want her to be happy. If there is something further that you think would help, please let me know. I made sure your mother wrote down my name and phone number so that she could contact me going forward if she needed anything else. Ms. [redacted], once you review the facts that your mother has provided, I think you will have to agree that there was nothing dishonest or illegal about the transaction. In light of this I would like to respectfully request that you remove the defamatory remarks you posted about our company on [redacted] unless you can substantiate them with any actual facts. Specifically, [redacted] Post by daughter [redacted] 2/26/14: "Elderly and women buyers beware!!! Salesmen are high pressure and will not leave you alone. Save yourself the harrassment and don't pull in the lot." [redacted] Post by daughter [redacted] 2/26/14: "Elderly and women beware of high pressure salespersons and dishonest practices."If you wish to discuss further, please feel free to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Most sincerely,[redacted]Corporate Customer Relations Director
