Review: My son who just turned 13 took his first real "bike ride" up the road from us at the peddler bike shop. He purchased a $20 bike lock. He came back home and we started to try to figure out how to work it but only the combination couldn't be reset. We tried to twist as it stated to do but the bike lock broke in our hands. Feeling bad his uncle who was over drove him back up to the store and bought him another one and didn't even ask for a refund but only a demo on how to reset the lock. Which he did and it worked, he even said to bring the other broken one back and he'd refund my son the money. So since we were told to come back and do this and since I had a receipt I thought the logical thing to do would be to go down and return it, right? Wrong!! Way wrong. I walk into the store which isn't easy these days at 8.5 months pregnant, and ask if this lock can still be returned, I figured it must be a different sales man since he looks at me weirdly and says " Do you even have the original package??!!"" I say no but can I .. "We'll look at this why would you bring this in??!!" He's yelling at this point and in my state of hormones I actually tear up a little and ask one more time if I could explain why I was there and what actually happend.. He looks at me like I'm nuts while I explain and then I just say fine never mind, I proceed to walk out and he's like laughing at saying to someone I bet she doesn't even have a receipt! Which I do, thank you very much. So then I leave and I will NEVER GIVE THIS STORE MY BUSSINESS again.Desired Settlement: $20 for cost of broken bike lock

How long have you had the lock? Are you looking to return or warranty the lock. If you are looking to return you must have all the original packaging dong with some form of receipt (register or credit card). If you are looking to try and warranty the lock I would be happy to have the sales rep take a look at it for you. You could also send it back to Onguard and ask for replacement. The stores return policy is and has been posted just behind and to right of the register. When we looked the lock the female part of the lock as been crush closed this along with one of the four cylinders ( with the numbers on them) is no longer attached to the lock. This tells us that the problems with this lock appear to more an issue of abuse and not defect. But again if you would like to have the sale rep or the manufacturer take a look at it we would be happy to help you do so.
