We are genuinely sorry for the confusion that occurred around the purchase of your son's bike While I certainly understand how you perceived the events, this was instead an honest mistake made by a series of unfortunate circumstances A fairly new employee of ours put a
used bike on hold for you at an agreed upon price and understood from you that you were coming to pick up the bike by PM Saturday of Father's Day Weekend When you did not come to the store Saturday he assumed you may have changed your mind and during the busy Father's Day weekend, the bike was allowed to go out on an overnight rental When you came to the shop Sunday, he then showed you a new bike which he mistakenly thought he could sell at the same price This created additional confusion for both you and us When this was brought to our attention as owners, we spoke with you and provided you with two good faith offers: sell you the original used bike you wanted when it returned from the rental at PM or sell you the new bike you were looking at for just $more than the price we had quoted for the used bike - which would have been at a loss for us but worth it if we could improve your experience with our store We pride ourselves on our customer service, as you can see from our mostly 5-star reviews, and this in no way represents the standard of excellence we attempt to achieve with every transaction We are evaluating our procedures for holding bikes without a down payment to help ensure this type of inconvenience does not occur again I hope you will give us another chance and would like to offer your family (up to people) a 3-hour electric bike ride on us Please call us to reserve when you're ready While we regret losing your business, we are happy to have you as part of the Pedego family and hope you can forgive the misunderstandingThanks, *** *** & *** *** Owners
My son had saved all of his money and was interested in a used electric bike We called the store and they said they had a specific bike they could sell us it was orange and they would put the bike in the back until we could come in the next day BTW we live in L.Abut were going to Carlsbad because we have family and friends there We entered the shop and we were greeted by the salesperson who had put a hold on the bike the day before and he brought the orange bike out from the back of the shop My son test drove the bike and he decided to purchase the bike and also a bike lock As we started to pay the other salesperson was on the phone with the Shop's owner About five minutes later they informed us that the bike was not for sale and the bike we wanted was on an overnight rentalHmmmm strange isn't it that the bike that was put on hold for us suddently was not available and the only bike at that price was rented and would not be back to the shop until pm I think this was
