in the amount of $145.86. Two of her three children were listed on the statement she received. (See Attached) Pediatric Partners of the Southwest apologies for not responding promptly to this customer’s  concern after calling into our billing department, however,  our billing manager does not have the autonomy to write off patient accounts. This is a physician/owner decision.The $106.88 amount in question is the amount deemed patient responsibility by the customer’s insurance company for the customer's youngest child who was seen in our office on 11/14/2014. This was not included in her original statement as this remittance had not yet been posted. Mrs. [redacted] has a contract with [redacted] as do the physician’s who work here. It would be fraudulent for the practice to write off a patient balance that [redacted] has already adjusted off and is owed by the guarantor. We apologize again that this balance was not in the statement cue of the first family statement which was printed on 1/31/2015 although this is her responsibility.Please see the attached notes.
