Pedro's Mexican Restaurante

Review: On Wednesday, September 24th, I celebrated my 40th birthday at Pedro's Restaraunt. I ordered a Chicken fajita dinner to go and continued to go about my night until I was ready to eat. When I finally settled in for the evening, I went to make my dinner from Pedro's. It was wrong. They gave me the incorrect tortillas, should have been flour and I received the Corn tortillas. They were terrible! I called pedros the next day, th 25th and I spoke to [redacted] the owner and advised him of the situation. He was insulted. he advised his corn tortillas were shipped in from Chicago and were the best around. He told me Corn tortillas we only given upon request. Well I certainly did not request corn tortillas. I have been to pedros several times and have ordered the same thing for years. [redacted] took my number and said he would call me. on October 10th, still no work from [redacted]. I called and spoke with [redacted] asked the specifics of what happened and I told him the story again. He looked up the date and verified who our waitress was. He said he would speak to [redacted] (another manager apparently) and took my name address and phone number and would get me a gift card for $20 dollars in the mail. October 22nd, still no gift card. I called and spoke to [redacted] AGAIN. He advised the piece of paper with my name, address and phone number must have "fallen on the floor" he advised he would speak to [redacted] again on October 24th as he was off the 23rd so he would call me Friday (24th) and of course, NO CALL. I called on the 24 and left a message that I wanted a call back! here we are almost a month after the fact. On Saturday, October 25th, [redacted] called and left a message on my voicemail that he was sorry he did not call yesterday and that I had a $20 gift card that I could pick up. On Wednesday, October 29th, my friend and I went there for drinks. I asked my waitress for the $20 and verified that [redacted] said I could pick it up. [redacted] came to our table and he told me HE MAILED IT!!!! ANYWAY, I waited and on November 1st, I called and [redacted] answered the phone. At first he said he was too busy to talk about this. And I was not having it. He finally said he mailed the gift card personally. He took my phone number and address AGAIN! it is now November 10th and I am tired of the run around. My family and friends spent alot of money that night at the restaurant and I am appalled at how they handled this and have treated me as a customer.Desired Settlement: I would like a check, not a gift card, from Pedros's in the amount of $20. Review: Tuesday September 24th at approximately 6pm my best friend and I were sitting down to a very quiet dinner and drinks in a very dead restaurant called Pedro's, in a rough, seedy part of town. We were catching up on life, kids, work, family etc. when a lady seated next to me started listening in on our conversation. She interrupted me while I was storytelling and told me to watch my language. She has her child with her. I told her to mind her own business and quit listening as I tell my life story and move to another table if you wish. I was seated at my table long before she was seated at her table. She huffed and puffed, and went and complained to management about me. She came back minutes later and this same, strange woman proceeded to call me a " [redacted] at the top of her lungs right in front of her child. The same child that she warned me to watch my language over. Seconds later a man stood over me, while I sit and eat my chips. He said in a rude, stern voice "I see we have a problem?" I said "No, we don't have a problem." My best friend said "The lady seated next to us had a problem with my friends language, yet she just called my friend a ' [redacted] at the top of her lungs, sure doesn't make sense when her child is listening to everything." I nodded my head and agreed. Just then this man standing over me says "Don't talk to me like that!" I proceeded to say "Excuse me, what did you just say?" And this man says "Alright, that's it, get out of here!" He made a huge scene in his restaurant and escorted 2 women (my friend and I) who are married with children, out of Pedro's, and put us out in the parking lot. How rude! He said his name was Jim Martini, the owner of Pedro's Mexican Restaurante. The fact that this man didn't even approach my friend and I in a friendly, professional manner proves that he had no intention of ever getting the full story from me. Which I'm sure was completely embellished by the strange mother anyway. I'm sure she said we were acting out and being loud and rude. Which definitely was not the case. I am a Civil Lit Paralegal and my best friend is a daycare owner. We were definitely not acting out or being rude. We are two professional women. The fact that the restaurant was so dead and quiet and in a bad part of town, nobody was there and this woman sitting a foot away from me could hear everything. She was close enough to hear my stomach growl that's how close she was to me and that's how dead they were that night.Desired Settlement: I want a written apology. But, after seeing that this restaurant has not ever complied with Revdex.com practices, and has never responded to other complaints, I know I won't hear anything back from Pedro's or the owner Jim Martini. Their food is bad, the restaurant is in a scary part of town, but close to my office, and the owner is rude. I will NEVER step foot in that place and spend money again, ever!
