 I had no choice but to sign the form because my car was being held hostage and I needed it back in order to go to work that day.  The $85 in extra fees I  was charged were not only illegal based on what I’ve read, but they also did not even match what was listed on the sign posted at the site by the towing company.  As far as being tbreatened, if the company actually  read my complaint they would know I’m not claiming to have been physically “threatened.”  What I’m saying is that when I attempted to argue about what I was being charged, the woman I was speaking with THREATENED to charge me twice as much!  If that is not an illegal business practice, then it is at the very least a disgusting and predatory way of doing business.  As I received this call on what I’m assuming was the woman’s cell phone, I doubt very much if it was recorded, however if it was I would encourage the business to play it for you because you will hear their representative clearly threaten me with price gauging .

if your vehicle has been towed. The fee for the tow is $135.00. The sign only lists a yard fee due to the fact that we do not know the size of the vehicle, in which she was charged $50.00 based on her vehicle. The storage fee was $35.00. This was a private impound due to [redacted] parking illegally. The fees that she obtained online pertaining to towing do not apply to an impound. We do this for the convenience of the customers retrieving their vehicles over the weekend. In conclusion, the property owners must contract us to remove illegally parked vehicles due to insurance liabilities. [redacted] had the choice to park in the 6,000 free spots across the street from the location that she parked in, instead she chose to not read the signs and park on private property.
