Bad Experience
My experience with Peerless Fence has been horrible. My quote was $2995 for a standard 4 ft high scalloped fence with 2 inch gap between panels. I paid first installment of $1500. They arrived to build my fence in the winter with 3 inches of snow on the ground against my request to wait till spring. The spacing was 3 inch which they insisted was what was quoted. And because of the snow on the ground came to see when it thawed that there were continuous gaps of 6 to 3 inches on the bottom of the fence throughout the perimeter. The idea of a fence is for containment. Nobody buys a fence that animals come and go at will. They haven't made any attempt to fix the issue or admit their mistake. I have tried working with them multiple times to remedy this before making second/final payment without any attempt to fix or discount due to their bad work. They are now threatening a lien on my property and collections. There are many other choices DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! I have pictures.

Creative and Competent
As a long time renovator and owner of Chicago area single and multi residential buildings, I have worked with contractors of all shapes, sizes, and disciplines. Most are competent, some are not, many are challenging to deal with, and then, some are, well, Peerless! I cannot say enough about how happy and satisfied I am with my recent (and first) experience with the Peerless crew out of the Melrose Park, IL. office. I had recently completed a two year renovation of an abandoned property situated on a busy street corner. Within a year, the fence of a property front corner had been destroyed by a two car accident. When I learned this had happened repeatedly over the 30 years prior to my ownership, I resolved to replace the corner fence with something which matched the existing fence, but had crash resistant cement embedded guards that could withstand future head on vehicle crashes (the tenants of the building were secretly hoping for the same). The trick and challenge was to integrate those guard posts in such a way the fence would still be visually pleasing. I was turned down by a number of well established fence companies. In fairness, I stumbled on Peerless almost as a last resort. Am I glad! Not only did their design estimator, Jessica, suggest a solution that actually CUT the proposed cost, but she was creative and committed to providing what I wanted. The crew that installed the fence was equally creative and committed. I observed that crew for the entire 9 hours the installation required. They never lost patience, they constantly consulted with me to make sure I was getting the look I wanted, and they made constant little adjustments that amazed me as the final project took shape. I simply can't say enough about these folks. I hope the attached picture captures their excellent work.

Peerless fence was at the start, great Had the sales rep come out when he was scheduled and do two estimates for us He gave us the estimates before he left They were very well priced and had a timeframe of two weeks However, we found out the pricing we were given was not what we originally requested They quoted different type and material than what we originally requested Finally decided on them to do our fence after new quotes and more information on the fences I wish we hadn't gone through them They called JULIE but were told for three days straight that JULIE had not come out and still they decided to show up without everything being marked and didn't call JULIE until they were on site and needed to put in the fence - requesting emergency site review from JULIE They were supposed to start the fence off of our deck, they decided that it was "better" apparently to put the fence 4-6" away from the deck all the way to the house Now, how am I supposed to be able to mow the lawn there or weed whack when I can't even get in there It is the fence that they eventually agreed to with us though, but they left chunks of dirt and debris all over the yard - which when you are a dog owner is a big deal I would not go with them in the future There is no communication from Sales once they take your money and get the contract signed and operations is rude when they set up the appointment Not only that but be aware, they require someone to be home at the time of installation - which was not originally agreed to when the sales rep came out I am very disappointed with their service and installation and would not use them again - not sure how we are going to manage the grass that is on the side of the deck now that we only have a 4" clearance from the fence I would not recommend them to anyone

I called this company from a add threw *** *** but because I already had the fence delivered and they could not make money on the fence they would not do install forcing me to look else where

I would never deal with these people Called on Monday morning to set up an appointment for an estimate I was told that Kurt would call me within hours Thursday morning I had not heard from him Called again and I was told that he or someone would contact me at the very latest by Friday morning Never heard from them If they can't make a phone call (common courtesy) I would NEVER trust them to put up a fence
