I am rejecting this response because:I no longer needed this policy, I was doing work elsewhere. I had no money in that account in October because I was no longer funding that account with income from *** ***. After it came back insufficient funds in October I made it right and put some money in the account to cover miscellaneous things and paid pekin what I owed them. I told my agent to cancel the policy, that I didn't need it anymore. So here I am stuck in the middle of an agent that doesn't want to stand behind his customer (I'm assuming because I took all of my insurance needs elsewhere) and an Insurance company who won't stand behind their agent. What is a consumer supposed to do when he finds out too late that his agent didn't do his job and cancel a policy properly? I never dealt with pekin directly to obtain insurance, why would I to cancel? *** Insurance may be the one at fault if they did not follow procedure but they absolutely refuse to do anything and pass it off to Pekin that I need to resolve this with themThis should not be owed and should not go against my credit

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/13) */
A Tenant Homeowner policy and a VIP Autombile policy were issued for the insured effective March 21, The Tenant Homeowner policy was non-renewed due to lack of underwriting informationThe VIP Autombobile policy was non-renewed due to
lack of underwriting information and due to a driver in the household having an ineligible motor vehicle record for the VIP program
On June 2, mail was returned to us indicating that "Attempted Not Known-Unable to Forward"A memo was sent to the insured's agent on the Autombobile policy asking for a correct mailing address and updated drive to work mileage information for the vehicles on the policyA memo was also sent to the insured's agent on the Tenant Homeowner policy asking for a correct mailing address along with the rating information for the new locationWe received no repsonse to the memos therefore, the policies were set up to non-renew effective the March 21,date
We received return mail on both policies three more times prior to the non-renewalWe had also received a request to add a driver to the Automobile policy effective Septermber 9, An email was sent to the agent indicating that due to the information on the motor vehicle record, the driver was not eligible for the program the current policy was inIt indicated that a new application for that driver was needed in our Crossroads programWe received no response to this memoThe change was processed to add an additional driver to the policy
The non-renewal notices were processed in January, and sent to the address on fileThe policies were on an electronic funds tranfer accountThe payments were taken out of the insured's bank account every monthThe annual premium for the Homeowner policy was $and a total of $was received through the monthly EFT paymentsThe annual premium for the Automobile policy at issuance was $1,The change request we received from the agent regarding an additional driver created an additional premium of $for the time period of September 9, to March 21, This was a total premium of $and a total of $was received through the monthly EFT paymentsSince only the pemium for the time the policies were in effect was received, no refund is required on these policies
If the insured can provide proof of duplicate coverage, we would be willing to revise the cancellation date back to the date of the new policy
If you have any further question, please feel free to contact me

I am rejecting this response because:
We provided all information accurately and honestly, and if this agent failed to record it properly, then we have been penalized for a mistake made by an agentThis is not acceptableFurthermore, I have spoken to a number of others in my profession, and none has ever heard of bartenders or servers being denied insurance as a result of their profession. Because of these issues, and because the insurer has chosen not to address this concern, we will not do business with them in the future, and we will recommend others avoid them as well in all forums at our disposalAfter shopping around, we have concluded that there are much more professional and responsible insurance companies to do business with

[redacted],A bartender is listed in our underwriting guidelines of ineligible occupations. The auto application was uploaded to us from you agent with your occupation as "office." Because of that, it did not prompt an underwriting referral or rejection before the application was submitted to us....

When we completed an auto inspection, we were made aware that your occupation was "bartender and food service." We had contacted the agent to let them know that we would be cancelling the policy within the first 90 days due to this being in ineligible occupation. Since the cancellation was within our discovery period and Pekin Insurance provided coverage from 10/7/16-12/13/16, no refund of premium will be made. Thank you

We mailed the attached invoice to the insured, [redacted], on December 1, 2017 showing  a current balance due of $6,855.50.  This amount reflected all policy activity through December 1, 2017 including the outstanding audit premium due.  The  Installment Schedule shown on the attached  invoice stated that we required a minimum due of $909.05 to be paid by  December 22, 2017. On December 27, 2017, the insured paid $500 of the $909.05 minimum due.  The payment shortage resulted in the cancellation of the insured's Commercial Package policy.

We have received your complaint notice dated March 17,2017.  In response to this insured’s complaint,  we  have not received a signed cancellation request from this insured or his  agent asking us to cancel his commercial policy.  Pekin Insurance had issued a...

Commercial Package policy on his business, [redacted] LLC, effective April 1, 2016 for $754 annual premium. This insured had requested monthly installments. On  October 6, 2016, a cancellation notice was sent to the insured stating his check was returned due to insufficient funds, and that he would need to submit $62.83 by October 17, 2016 to continue coverage.  Valid payment was received, and the policy was reinstated on October 17,2016.  This  policy cancelled again effective December 18, 2016 due to another insufficient funds check. The insured did not submit additional payment to address the insufficient funds check so the policy remained cancelled. The insured stills owes $161.15 earned premium to the cancellation date of 12/18/16. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Sincerely, Cheryl Byrne, CPCUTerritory Underwriting ManagerPhone (309) 478-2566

Hi Leon,Our financial stability level (FSL) is not the same as the credit score you receive from financial institutions. Our FSL is a credit based insurance score that takes into consideration many factors when computing your score, credit being one of the factors. Since the two are...

different, we will be unable to rate your policy solely based off of your credit score. Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
This is a complete fabrication not only did my insurance agent contact them once but twice for a paid up to date because I had already decided on a different carrier we waited till the date they said I was paid up to and then canceled the policy. As I said before this has happened to me before by another company I am positive This is some kinda get more money out of people who move to new carriers the should be a federal investigation into all insurance carriers I believe this is a common game they play.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. And I will add the following: I received the check today, more than two months after I initially called to cancel the policy.  That is an unacceptable amount of time to deliver on something so simple.  My suggestion to the business is the following:1.  Allow checks to be printed immediately by whoever has authority.  The fact that I had to wait an additional 5 to 7 days each time I called for your check writing day is truly detestable. 2.  When issuing checks of any kind, USPS tracking should be used.  Nobody is interested in taking your word for it that a check is in the mail, because obviously it wasn't.
