Card activity issues, card declined times in past months resulting in numerous issuesReissuing cards and turning off my bank card
Funny, when I was stationed in the Netherlands, I had one issue where all I had to do was contact Pelican and state my locationThe issue would be resolved and I could purchase and make transactions with little to no issues While working in Fort Bragg, NC...I had my card shut off twice in 2015, no big dealSoon as I move to Japan, I have now had my card shut off more times than my previous years with Pelican Its embarrassing when I go to store to get food, unable to even get groceries because I had to wait to contact Pelican for suspicious activity, which it was not suspicious activity at all So contacted the bank, spoke with a male employee who told me this shouldnt happen again It happen different times between November to February He even gave me personal email address and number to call I called that number, never got a response or email from him I emailed his personal email at bank, never got a responseThis was a serious issue as I was staying in Hotel at the time and was unable to get any cash at all Contacted Pelican Online folks, who told me a merchant forced my card to be shut off I never recieve emails or alerts about this Not even when I had my US phone My parents asked this question to Pelican and they claimed they have attempted to in the pastBigger issue with this bank is that whenever I move, I have to change address, that alone takes days! Just ridiculous and out of control at this point where I am going to be forced to get rid of Pelican and get a better bank that works for their customers

First I'll start by saying when I first joined this credit union I never had any issues and if I did they were always there to help.

With in this last year I have experienced the worst customer service, incompetent and rude people ever.

On 11/21 I spoke with a MSR about an error message I kept receiving she explained to me that it was a government rule that you can only withdraw 6 times a month and that transfers are considered withdrawals. As I have been a member for about 9 years I have never heard of it nor experienced it. The next day I was charged a $28 over draft fee (i was trying to make a transfer to cover it but I could not because of the error message which I talked to them about a day prior) I called back to say Hey, this is truly unfair as I did not no about the "government rule" on transfers when there is money in my account. I asked for a reversal and 3 people [redacted], the manager and [redacted] all said well she told you about it yesterday etc. NO reversal.

I will soon be closing my account because as a customer $28 means more to them then your business. I have had a car loan, personal loans, checking and savings and all paid on time. instead of acknowledging the error message and understanding They were OK with me closing my accounts.
