[redacted]Dear Sir or Madam:I am writing this letter in regards to the complaint that was issued against my...

business on 4/15/207 from [redacted] about repair issues. As it states in the letter on January 6th, 2017 we installed a transmission and transfer case into the customers 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. We gave the customer options for transmissions. One that had less miles that was more expensive and one that had 250,000 miles on which was considerable less expensive. He opted for the less expensive one with 250,000 mile on it. We explained to him that we do not offer a warranty and nor does the company that had the transmission. We called [redacted] in [redacted] and confirmed that they only offer a 30 warranty that starts the day the part is purchased. On March 8th, 2017 we received a call from [redacted] that he needed a tow back to our shop, Pellas Automotive LLC due to vehicle being disabled. Once it was on our premises we look over his vehicle and found that the transmission went bad. We tried to contact the customer with the phone number ###-###-#### that he had provided us and it would say that this number was no longer in service. We are still out of the money for towing the vehicle which if not reconciled that day we charge vehicle storage that runs $50 a day which is clearly posted in the office of our shop.As stated in the letter we received, he placed signs in his front yard trying to get our attention. This would be considered an intentional tort of defamation of law. Noted that he said he did not know how to get a hold of us when our phone number is clearly posted on the outside of our building. The day he placed the signs in his yard we moved his vehicle to our secure location that is locked along with others in order to fix the issue of our tow trucks getting stuck in the mud from the recent rain and snow. On April 13th, 2017 myself, the owner of Pellas Automotive LLC, with a police officer arrived at [redacted] residence to try and diffuse the situation at hand. We decided to bring an officer in order for protection in case [redacted] would make allegations against myself, the owner of Pellas Automotive LLC and for a mutual party to be present. He agreed to remove the signs if his vehicle was returned to his residence. Right after we left his residence, I loaded his 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer on my rollback and was at his residence within 30 minutes from the time we had left. With it being said about his battery being drained, we had to use our battery booster in order to place the vehicle on our rollback. With this vehicle the battery being dead, we were not able to take it out of park or turn the steering wheel. Thus, this is way we left the gear shift in neutral that would be able to be moved easily by [redacted]. We were unable to place it in his driveway due to him not answering the door and to the incline into his driveway. Instead of ripping up the borough alley and his driveway we placed it on the street right in front of his house out of courtesy. Please contact me if you have questions or need additional information.
