A customer has to rely on the professionals as to the number of coats needed to cover the old paintEven though the quote was for $we eventually paid Pendleton Paint $We had to beg *** to put a second coat of paint in the living and dining rooms due to the old paint showing through but it took his son *** telling his father *** that it did indeed need a second coatWe paid them $to paint the second coat*** refused to paint the bedroom with a second coat as stated on the proposalHe said he was done with our homeI finally got *** to put a second coat on the bedroom walls but it took him a week to come back to do the work
We never approved the use of Olympic paint which they used on the first coat in the bedroomIt is a cheaper paint and *** said it does not cover as well as ***I do have a signed copy of Pendleton's original proposal
As they proceeded with the job we constantly had to point out areas that were not done wellEvery area they painted required touch up or repaintingA customer should not have to constantly point out areas that require further attentionProfessional painters are expected to do the job properly the first timeThey also left excess paint on woodwork, windows, and electrical outlets and switches that I am trying to clean off
As I have already pointed out, I have the original proposal which *** did not honorOn that proposal sheet it is printed that quality is guaranteedOur home in no way meets any quality standardThe bedroom ceiling was left with small holes in it due to the popcorn finish falling off at drywall screw heads and the old paint is showing through in many areas and the new paint is cracking in other areasJust today with the sunshine hitting the hall walls it is obvious that those walls also need repainting in at least some areasOne spot approximately 12" by 4" was basically missed with the new color
As I stated above, the people making the bid have to make the decision as to the number of coats requiredWe paid $over the accepted bid trying to be fairWe welcome *** and *** to come over and look at our complaints but they need to do that in the near future because I need to have this paint job done properlyI will hire another company to do this work
Do to the sloppy work which will require numerous hours to clean off excess paint, repairing the bedroom ceiling, and repainting the bedroom ceiling and hall walls, I am asking for a $refundI have numerous pictures of the sloppy work, the holes in the bedroom ceiling, the poor paint job in the hallway and the bedroom ceilingIf we can not reslve this through the Revdex.com, we are prepared to take this to small claims court
