Thankyou for the opportunity to resolve this issue agreeably. The disputereference number is [redacted].I have had several conversations with the complainant and had thought we hadreached an amicable solution.[redacted] was treated at our clinic on multiple times and continuallyreported progress...

and advancement in her treatments.When [redacted] contacted our office initially upon receipt of her statement forservices she had received in 2016, she indicated being frustrated that the billhad been delayed and that she had budgeted for our services in 2016 afterreceiving an Explanation of Benefits from her insurance company. Her chiefcomplaint was that her health savings did not roll over to 2017 and would notbe available for her to pay for a bill from the previous year. I apologized andtook responsibility for the billing delay; however I did indicate that it was wellwithin our legal rights to bill up to 7 years from date of service. Several dayslater Ms [redacted] contacted me and asked if we could change the billing date to2017 so she could use this year's funds. I indicated that we could not make thatchange because all medical billing is based on date of service and that we wouldbe risking our credentialing and licensing. She asked if I would ask Dr. C[redacted]to discount her bill and I agreed to do so. I explained that typically we do notdiscount for services and it is normal protocol to divide a balance into fourpayments.After talking with Dr. C[redacted] I r·esponded to Ms. [redacted] within a few daysand indicated that we had already written of a portion of her bill and herbalance owing was 454.00 not 600.00 and that Dr. C[redacted] had agreed to fivepayments and would not further discount her services that she received andreported progress for. She seemed frustrated but agreed to the payment planand said she would send a payment in.The next communication I had with Ms. [redacted] was over a Facebook postwhere she slandered our practices and was not forthright in communicating thewhole scope of communication and agreement we had come to. I againresponded cooperatively and was genuinely surprised that she was so escalatedin her communication. When she responded to my reply she threatened to goafter us in every social media avenue.
