Hello! As described below the tenant, *** ***, has dealt with the water issues we have had on propertyAbbey Glenn is an older property, and with an older property you will face many issues on a daily basis and the fluctuation with the water temperatures is one of the issues that has been
ongoingWe have actively been working to resolve this so that all tenants get the same water quality, and in order to do so we have to have work done on our pipes and boiler systems, and this requires us to shut off the water for periods of timeWe are required to let the tenants know when we are going to be shutting off the water and we do give every resident ample knowledge (at least a minimum of hrsprior) so they are aware and can prepareI am willing to work out a compensation on Mr***'s rent for few times he has been without water upon speaking to me in office. Best, *** ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Ms. [redacted] was correct to mention that tenant [redacted] was assigned to unit [redacted], was not satisfied with the condition of the apartment and was transferred to unit [redacted] on the same day.The previous general manager made it clear that she would switch everything, including the electric bill to Unit [redacted]. I remember asking her and I have witnesses. The mother of one of [redacted] roommate was right beside us in the office. As a new tenant, [redacted] and her roommates didn't know that Abby Glenn doesn't have anything to do with the company that provides electricity to their apartments. After switching units, Abby Glenn assigned Unit [redacted] to another tenant, who also paid the electricity bill for the month of August. The electricity bill for apartment [redacted] was paid twice in the month of August by two separate tenants. All we asked Abby Glenn to do was to contact the electricity company to let them know that they had charged the same unit twice. Although they are not responsible for handling the electricity, they do have some type of relationship with their supplier and they should have contacted them regarding the matter.Their poor handling of the issue cost us over $300. Ms. [redacted], as the general manager should have access to simple matters such as communication with the electricity company. We are not making this up, the General Manager told us that she would take care of everything and we trusted her. Indeed she transferred all the other papers but failed to inform us that the electricity should have been handled by us.I do not advise anyone to rent a property at Abby Glenn. They didn't keep their word neither they go the extra mile for their tenants. Poor customer service
Regards,

Hello! As described below the tenant, [redacted], was assigned to move into unit [redacted] and upon receiving keys on August 15th she as well as her roommates were not satisfied with the condition of the apartment we put them in, so we transferred them the same day to [redacted]. Upon moving them, the...

previous General Manager advised them that they would need to disconnect their electricity they had set up and transfer it to the unit we moved them into. We do not provide the electricity for our tenants and they have to have it set up with a provider of their choice upon moving in. This was not done within a timely manner on the tenants part, and so therefor they were charged with two electricity bills for the unit she is currently in and the one she never lived in. We did end up moving in other tenants to the unit [redacted], but they have their electricity set up with the provider of their choice. We did everything in our power to reach out to the electricity provider to let them know that we had a tenant charged for two units, but we as the apartment complex cannot unfortunately resolve this issue since it has to do with the electric and billing and per our lease we are not responsible for handling tenants electricity nor are we responsible for changing the electricity in the units. That is the responsibility of the tenants.   Best, [redacted]General ManagerAbbey Glenn Apartments700 S. 4th St.| Waco, TX 76706P: [redacted]  | F: 254-752-4122W: www.abbeyglennapartments.com | facebook.com/AbbeyGlennApartments
