Dear Representative:As the customer has stated, they informed us that they had moved to South Carolina, and their former home was now vacantAs such, the home had to be written as a Vacant Dwelling Fire, instead of the previous Homeowner’s PolicyHowever, the customer DID NOT inform the agent that
the vacant home was in fact being remodeled at the timeDue to the significance of the remodeling projects, there are considerable risk exposures that needed to be rectified prior to any of the company accepting the riskThe Dwelling Fire Policy was cancelled as of inception because the home did not meet the company's guidelinesWe did have a market for the home once the remodeling was completed, however the insured had no intentions to insure the property because it was being sold “as is”, In fact, the prospective buyer was the person doing the remodeling of the homeWe also informed the customer that they could get “forced place” insurance from the mortgage companyWhile it is regrettable that this incidence occurred, the customer failed to provide us with adequate and pertinent information.*** *** OwnerPA insurance Specialists, Inc

Review: this company had provided insurance for my home in Pennsylvania I recently relocated to south Carolina. they informed me that due to the home being vacant in pa that I had to change my insurance policy. they had given us a quote and we where told that they where transferring the home owners insurance. they canceled the existing policy with our consent, as we where under the impression that the other policy was al ready in place. we then received letters from the mortgage company stating they received a cancelation letter but no new policy information. we contacted pa insurance specialists and where told that the home was unable to be insured due to it being under construction. as of now we have no insurance on our home and are being told that no one will cover it unless these repairs are made. the home is currently under contract for being sold as is. it is very unprofessional for a company to cancel a policy without having the other policy in place, especially when it was relayed to us that the change had accrued. when asked about the problem they relayed that it was our fault for not telling them the property was "under construction"Desired Settlement: we are seeking insurance else where don't want anyone else to go through this. also for Pennsylvania insurance specialists to take responsibility for any claims against the property until insurance established.

Dear Representative:As the customer has stated, they informed us that they had moved to South Carolina, and their former home was now vacant. As such, the home had to be written as a Vacant Dwelling Fire, instead of the previous Homeowner’s Policy. However, the customer DID NOT inform the agent that the vacant home was in fact being remodeled at the time. Due to the significance of the remodeling projects, there are considerable risk exposures that needed to be rectified prior to any of the company accepting the risk. The Dwelling Fire Policy was cancelled as of inception because the home did not meet the company's guidelines. We did have a market for the home once the remodeling was completed, however the insured had no intentions to insure the property because it was being sold “as is”, In fact, the prospective buyer was the person doing the remodeling of the home. We also informed the customer that they could get “forced place” insurance from the mortgage company. While it is regrettable that this incidence occurred, the customer failed to provide us with adequate and pertinent information.[redacted] OwnerPA insurance Specialists, Inc.
