Pennsylvania Roofing, Siding and Windows Reviews (5)

Review: Mr. Mark M[redacted] has failed to complete the addition he started 7 months ago. He has received all moneys due, but still does not show up to complete job. Contract due date was July 14, 2014. He still has half the job to finish, too many items to mention, and will not answer his phone, or respond to any means of communication. There is also problems with the product and service he provided. His company also goes under the name "Pennsylvania Construction Group"

Review: Contracted this party to roof my house, build a porch on the front and build a hardscaped padio and steps to the front of the house. The contract was signed in March of 2014 with a completion date of June 15th 2014. The roof is complete, the porch is 95% complete and the hardscaping has not started. Every aspect of the job has been a struggle to get the work to start. The original start date was the end of April. Work slowly started the end of June. The contractor is no longer returning my calls or emails and will not provide a date to finally complete the work. Just want the work completed.Desired Settlement: Schedule and finsh the job.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and contractors did show up to work on the house. However the following work still needs to be completed to complete the project.

The top porch step needs to be corrected, it was not installed to our satisfaction.

The contractor ripped up the power line to our lamp post. This needs to be fixed.

There was to be a fence railing installed around the porch per the contract. This was not competed.

The step lights were to be tied in to a circuit, this was not done yet.

The upper caps on the porch posts have not been succured.

Response:

The railing and cap issues have been addressed and corrected. We have met with the client and are working on resolving remaining concerns with them .

Review: Did not complete work in time with the contract date

Put on wrong color siding on my property and not returning calls or emails to correct the problem

Did not complete work that was outlined and not returning calls or emails to correct the problem

Did not correct the issues that were identified on a walk through after the work was completed

Stated verbally that would pay for "complimentary back splash and mirror" for my new bathroom and no calls or emails back to discuss this in writingDesired Settlement: Am now hiring another person to correct the problem, want Pennsylvania construction group to be financially responsible for payment of this work

Pay for what was verbally promised

Review: Contractor did not secure building permits, we paid contractor in good faith and the work was not completed. Contractor left kitchen debris at work site and did not cleanup. Existing plumbing was removed, contractor left leaking pipes for weeks that were dripping into a bucket that had to be emptied 3 times a day until they returned 4 days later.

We were told that all contractors were employed by the this construction company. We come to find out that our cabinet installer was outsourced. The back splash installers that came to our home to estimate the project had never meet the contractor before that day.

Our project started May 2,2014 with the promise of 3 weeks completion time frame. Our project was postponed, rescheduled or just outright cancelled on numerous occasions which are supported by email & documentation.

I have been doing my dishes in the bathtub for 9 weeks. My kitchen is 10X10, my dishwasher & garbage disposal have not been installed. Electrical outlets remain exposed and ventilation ducts are incomplete.Desired Settlement: Return all monies paid by complainant. Issue apology for agony & anguish contractor inflicted during the 8 week project under construction.

I am rejecting this response because: The project was to be finished on many dates the date we agreed on was 7/23/2014 the job as of today is still not complete! We have given the contractor a punch list not even touched or talked about. They gave checks to the subcontractor and they bounced, of course contractor walked off the job. This makes it hard to when PA Construction can take vacation & you can not!

Review: We just had new windows installed within the past year and we already have a leak. We have made numerous attempts to have the owner repair or replace the leaking window and he replies that he is coming and then does not or he does not reply at all (via email). Of all the various phone numbers listed on their websites or through prior brochures, the numbers are either not functioning or are they continue to ignore messages. This company Pennsylvania Roofing, Siding and Windows, LLC run by Mark M[redacted] is either now defunct or he only takes new business but does not reply to existing clients with repair needs, nor does he honor the warranty and commitments made at time of sale. I have a 2 year workmanship warranty from our contract, yet we cannot get a commitment to repair within the first year that the leak has occurred. Incidentally, it appears as though Mark is also running a fraudulent website with a new company name which has inoperable phone numbers listed and fake links throughout. It also claims to be based in [redacted], PA and lists his cell phone number that but they do not reply to inquiries. The url is: http://[redacted]Desired Settlement: We just want our window leak repaired. As you know, a leaking window can completely destroy a house with mold damage and we were assured during the sales phase that any leaks or defects in craftsmanship would be immediately repaired. This was a $15,000+ job and now he is not honoring commitments made at time of sale.
