him to believe they we are a low-cost option to handle a common coldBased on our review of this complaint our website does state that you do not need to be a Pentucket Medical Patient to obtain care, which means that if you see a provider outside the Pentucket Medical family you can still obtain care at one of our Express Care locationsUpon further review Mr *** was billed accordingly as the American Medical Association (AMA) have developed common procedural terminology (CPT), these are specific to the level of care a patient receives as well as defines these codes based on if the patient is an established or new patient to the facilityOur website does also states “save money by choosing an alternative to the Emergency Department”, as with most plans there is higher copay or deductible to seek care at an ER or hospital based outpatient clinicThere is no information stating that theses services are a “low cost option to handle the common cold” as indicated in the complaintMr ***’s benefit plan requires him to meet a $yearly in network deductible before they will cover his services, he is subject to this deductible regardless of where he seeks treatment as well as if he is considered a new or established patientBased on our review we show that Mr *** was billed accordingly based on required coding set forth by the American Medical Association (AMA)We also contacted his insurance directly to confirm that his claim processed accordingly based on his benefits (reference # ***)If you need any additional information or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at ###-###-####
