Complaint Number *** *** The complaint we received was dated September 15, Unfortunately we did not receive anything prior to this, although the complaint dated September 15, states that this was a second request.Under our agreement with the customer for Overdraft
Privileges (Bounce Protection), a customer may keep their account overdrawn up to daysThis customer’s account became overdrawn on August 8, The account was closed on September 2, for a different reason, other than the customer’s use of our Bounce Protection. We did discuss this with the customer on September 6, and advised them that they should have ample time to open another account and set up direct deposit with Social SecurityIf we received their funds in October, we would provide them with a check.We will contact the customer to discuss the reason why the account was closedThis was discussed with the customer on September 6, by the Assistant ManagerHowever, we will have someone with higher authority review this with the customer and make a final determination as to whether or not we will reopen the account as requested.Please contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns regarding this responseThank you. *** ***Executive Vice President- Chief Operating Officer *** *** ***, MA ***P: ###-###-####
