Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Dear Revdex.com,
I am rejecting the response from the Autobahn Motor Group
located at *** ** *** *** Philadelphia, PA because the only true
statements in their response are “the vehicle was purchase April 30, 2015” and
the “customer later contacted Autobahn on May 11th, 2015”. The remainder of their assertion, “offered to
inspect vehicle the next day” and “the coolant light came on and coolant was
added to the vehicle” are not factual. I
was never offered either and was never made aware that the vehicle didn’t have
a legally required state inspection and emissions stickers. I’ve purchase dozens of vehicles in my life
time and never once was the vehicle without an inspection sticker. As a customer who came to this business at
the recommendation of a close friend of the family and was told by the sales
person, Stanley O*** ***, that he were going to make me a good deal because of
that relationship, I have never felt more deceived or misled by anyone as much
as the Autobahn Motor group misled meIf
this group was as customer focused as they claimed in there August 11th
response, then why didn’t they attempt to rectify the issues presented to them?
Why did they refuse to neither return my numerous calls and text attempts nor
discuss my concerns in person (at least 10)?
Why was I informed by Stanley O*** **., that he would see if he could
get someone to look at the vehicle in Florida when I originally brought the
vehicles mechanical issues to his attention if he didn’t believe my claims that
the vehicle was still under warranty when it initially had an issue? Here are the facts:
I purchased a *** *** with
miles on April for $cash. The
car had several mechanical issue the day I went to test drive it (rear window
and moon roof didn’t open) and was told they would be fixed. The window was but the moon roof wasn’t and I
have an IOU from the company for a moon roof switch. The vehicle was driven miles when it broke
down on I-outside of Jacksonville FL and needed to be towedI have towing
receipts to verify when and where the vehicle ceased to run.I took the vehicle to a reputable ***
dealer to have the mechanical issues diagnosed and was told the problem was the
water pump and other issues. I still have a vehicle that has a non-working
air conditioner, broken trunk latch and moon roof and requires a PA state
inspection sticker that is likely to present additional issues and costs
So to summarize, I was sold a vehicle that had numerous
mechanical defects and a company that claims their “goal … is to provide
customers with the best possible customer service”, wouldn’t give me the time
of day to try and discuss the issues beside try and make me feel good about my
decision to come to them in the first place.
I’ve spent
my entire career working for the US Military providing the highest customer
service possibleIf I had the same commitment to customer service that the
Autobahn Motor Group displayed to me, undoubtedly the lives of my customers
would be at risk. I am not looking for anything more than what I
believe I deserve, a vehicle that performs for more than to days without it
breaking down. Based on my experience, I
would warn anyone who attempts to purchase a vehicle from the Autobahn Motor Group
to be very carefulRead their warranty closely for they pay only 50% of the parts
and labor and all repair need to be performed by them, which based on my
experience, they are not qualified to perform.
Their vehicles DO NOT have inspection stickers and you may drive away
with a big problem that you will have to address like I didI’m not sure what
my next step is but since the owner, MrMarco M***, or his staff member who
wrote the response letter, MrStanley O*** Srwon’t speak to me, I will have
to find another avenue for remedy. In
closing, I am still willing to talk and negotiate in good faith a remedy if the
ownership at Autobahn Motor Group is truly committed to customer service, but
based on their current posture; I find it difficult to believe I will be
hearing from them
Regards,
*** ***

August 11, 2015Dear Representative Revdex.com,We have received your complaint (ID of [redacted]) we look forward to discussing the matter further with the Revdex.com. In this case the vehicle purchased April 30, 2015 was offered to be inspected the next day, as is standard procedure for all...

vehicles purchased at our location. The law allows for a 10-day grace period for inspecting recently purchased vehicles. The customer was in a rush and needed to get back to Florida. Before leaving our lot the coolant light came on and coolant was added to the vehicle. The customer's son then drove the vehicle to Florida.According to the customer the cars coolant light came on again as the customer drove the car the over 1000-mile trip to Florida. Allegedly the client did not stop when light was on to check and or refill the vehicles coolant and failed to contact us promptly about the issue. To make the situation more interesting the vehicle apparently stopped being drivable in Jacksonville Florida at the same time the driver was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. The circumstances of this event are unknown to us.The customer later contacted Autobahn on May 11 to inform us of the problem. This vehicle was sold with a 30 day or 100,000 miles 50/50 warranty covering "Powertrain: Engine/Transmission". This car was sold with 76,177 miles per the odometer disclosure statement then according to the invoice from a [redacted] dealer in Pembroke Pines, Florida the vehicle that had been inoperable since its break down and impoundment was logged as 77,570 (1,393 miles and 393 over the warranty). If the customer would have alerted Autobahn promptly when the coolant light first came on and not been over the mileage we would have gladly been able to take the vehicle to our mechanic (as stated in warranty “all work must be done by autobahn"). This issue also may have been found and/or resolved by the customer allowing the proper time for their vehicle to be inspected. We are looking to resolve this issue however the customer drove over the allowed millage under the warranty. It is our goal at Autobahn to provide customers with the best possible customer service. Please contact us with any information regarding this issue. You will find copies of bill of sale and odometer reading attached.Stanley O
