Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Peoples Publishing House is not telling the truthI DID NOT OPEN their package because it was returned in the original, unopened mailing envelope
The only thing I did was tape an envelope with their mailing address and the following attached letter See above 6-16-16, to the outside
If they would have removed that envelope, they would have seen the original mailing label with my address By the way I never blamed them for the package being misdelivered to a neighbor The claim that I opened the package is bogus and without merit
There was never an offer to send me another book The attached file dated 12-29-speaks for itself The only correspondence received from this company was a copy of screenshot from the US Post Office website showing a tracking number that indicated the package had been delivered This information was circled with a yellow highlighter
The reason I paid return postage with a tracking number option was because I wanted to determine when the package was delivered so I would have documented proof Because I didn't refuse the package doesn't mean anything
Besides the postal clerk never offered me the option of simply refusing the packageThe package I returned was delivered on JUNE 20, On July 20, , days later, I sent a certified
letter demanding a refund that was received by Peoples Publishing on July 23, at 11:AM
Why has this business never contacted me by mail or phone with this information? Why have I learned of this only after filing a complaint with the Revdex.com?
I have called this business and left messages with my name, full address, and phone number Not once did they return my call I also sent several letters All of this was ignored until now
Why? The returned material was received June 20th, it is now August 11th, SEVEN WEEKS later
The fact that I wanted verifiable proof that the package I was returning was actually delivered, and that I paid the additional postage to affect this does not prove that the
package was opened In addition, it had been months since the original package was misdirected to one of my neighbor's I didn't want to take the chance that they would
simply ignore this return The fact of the matter is this parcel was NEVER opened and I take umbrage at the notion that I have lied about this situation I don't appreciate being called a liar I
have been defamed!
It appears that Peoples Publishing House is not an honorable business Customer service is an oxymoron That they would stoop to insinuating that a customer is a liar is astonishing They have acted in bad faith by never responding, not even once to my inquiries My response today with attached documentation, refutes each of their assertions
I still expect them to do the right thing and send me a refund I would even be willing for them to deduct the $postage they incurred for shipping the original information to me
Therefore I will accept: $--$= $Money order I think this is more than fair! Furthermore, I forgive them for resorting to name calling
