Peoplelink Staffing Solutions Reviews (1)

Review: From the moment I walked into their Buena Vista Va office I was treated very rudely. It was obvious they didn't want to register me.

I went into their Buena Vista office to register for their temp services. I was treated rudely by both ladies that worked there, especially after I asked if they wanted my military records. I preceded to call afterwards and got treated even more rudely by the manager, [redacted]. I preceded to ask her to de register me since I don't want ro be represented by rude unprofessional people. I checked and I'm still registered. Also, I was told that they just threw away my folder, which had my social security number and personal information.Desired Settlement: I honestly would like them to de register me fully and apologize for their rude behavior. I am just curious if they treat all veterans this way.

Response:

[redacted], please allow me to address some of your complaints directly.

The first time you walked into the office we were very busy. And as you know we have a small office area in the front

to have people register as well as process for offered employment. My Staffing Specialist assisted you in making an

appointment for you that was good for you later in the afternoon, at 1:00 pm.

When you arrived back to get registered with Peoplelink you were given a complete application and I went over

how to complete the process of registering for potential jobs, and were treated with respect and manners as I do all

people when they are either here in person OR on the phone. I am very allergic to the odor of smoke, and try to ask

folks to refrain from that prior to coming in here OR going into an interview process with our clients. We also expect

people to come dressed accordingly when completing applications and interviews.

You never mentioned anything regarding us needing your military records. You see, my son and son in law are active

Staff SSgt's in the United States Army, and I can bet my life if you would have mentioned you were in the military, I

probably would have hugged you and THANKED YOU from the bottom on my heart for serving our Country. So nothing

was ever ask or questioned regarding military what so ever.

What you were asked about, after you completed your application. was where you circled YES for any criminal convictions

or misdemeanors, and you openly discussed that with me.

I recall you calling back just last week checking on your application, and I told you on that day, we had nothing right now

that was opened that we felt you qualified for. Your application indicates you have only food service since 2006. We don't

have clients in the food service sector, we staff mainly for industrial factories, welders, electricians, custom shop, fabricators,

HVAC, and folks that have hand tool experience/knowledge. And I explained that if we do have something to come up, we

will certainly contract you, and made sure your phone number was still good.

You've never been told by anyone in this office that your application was 'just threw away', because we don't do that. We keep

ALL applications on file for a least a year, that is our guidelines and we follow policies and procedures. I have your application

here in front of me as I'm replying to you now.

If you chose not to be employed by Peoplelink Staffing, that is your choice, and I'm sorry you feel that way. I can put you into

a file as DO NOT CALL

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

She stated something about being allergic to smoke, but I do not know where that comes from since I do not smoke. There was only so much room on the application to put a few employment history, thus I could not put my Marine Corps service and internships via Liberty University. Since the fact that I do have my rights restored, etc. In reference to the charge she mentioned. My apologies for not having a very good selection of clothes for I do not have money for housing much less clothing. If I so offended her by my looks, then I personally do not wish to be contacted by her office in any way. I apologize for attempting to get on my feet and hoping my military skills and education might aide in the process. This should be the end of all contact.

Regards,
