Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11254858, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, Please let us know below why you are rejecting the offer made by the business.]
This statement is partially correct as I did contact the office to advise them of the return visit of the two gentlemen with the pole stick magnets, and to let them know they stayed less than minutes I also indicated that we live in the woods, under a canopy of trees, and that running a pole magnet at knee level would not pick up the leftover nails in the yard, thus requesting a " roller" type magnet, that would possibly do a better job picking up the nails that may have been covered by leaves At this time, the woman on the phone stated that as the roof had been completed almost a year ago, that the reason we have so many nails in the yard, is due to wash out of product left in the gutters I then advised her that the job was done in December of 2015, and that our gutters have downspout covers that go into the ground, and that was highly improbable I also informed her that the majority of the nails were in the front yard and we have a landscape border, so the supposed wash out effect would have to travel thru our azalea beds and over the borders into the yard Again, she rejected my reasoning At this time she said it was outlined in the contract I then replied " what contract"? We were only given a proposal by the sales rep, *** *** and we then communicated by him via phone regarding the project After going in circles with the office manager, I did tell her that my husband was going to pick up a rolling magnet, as this was the only way to accomplish the task of getting the nails out of the yard, and that sending people out at minute intervals wouldn't be acceptable I also told her we would be happy to send her the video surveillance feed of the workers in our yard and their less than genuine effort to resolve this problem Again, she persisted that this was really our issue, due to rain wash out At this time I advised her I would be contacting the Revdex.com to file a complaint, as we were getting no where in this circular conversation Please also note that my husband had already sent an e mail with photo attachments, one of the nail that went thru my shoe, into my foot, the other a photo of the roller magnet The reason we sent the photo of the roller magnet was because I had previously contacted their office to request the crew to come back out here to go back over our yard again, due to the number of nails we were finding in the yard My husband has pulled several from his riding lawn mower tires, and I had also previously pulled several from my shoes, prior to the one that made it into my foot The receptionist that I spoke with when I first requested the original call back was the one that informed me they did not have roller magnets This is the reason for and suggesting that a roofing company certainly should have a roller type magnet, opposed to swinging stick magnets I also discussed this fact with the office manager, and advised her of my prior conversation, and that maybe she should inform the receptionist that the crews do have this tool We were not attempting to extort them into purchasing the correct tool, but were merely shocked that any PROFESSIONAL roofing company would not have a forty dollar tool on hand to better serve their customers needs And for the record, since this complaint was filed, we have found several " button screws" in the yard, as well as a double row of nails that are obviously intended for a pneumatic nail gun These were picked up with the roller magnet that my husband purchased As I stated in my original complaint, I would like to advise the owners of this company of the run around that the office manager was giving us I am still trying to wrap my brain around how this issue is the rain's fault Maybe the workers responsible for the clean up of the yard just did a poor job Own up, do the right thing, take responsibility

We did install the [redacted] roof several months ago. They were very happy. magnet they wanted us to buy. My guy went around with a magnet and she called me immediately saying it wasn't the magnet they wanted us to bring and he was only there 5 minutes. I told her I would send a sales guy back over and was very apologetic but she said she would do it herself, file a complaint and tell everyone we were awful, then she hung up. We tried to make her happy but I did tell her roofing was a dirty job and we try our best to pick up all nails but they need to be careful after it rains just in case any get stuck in the gutter during the install. We really did try to make her happy... They were happy with the roof install and the way it looks and we did go back.

We do the best we can to clean up after a roof install. It is construction and a very dirty job. We did go back out and I even told the customer that I would send a sales guy back out again with his roller magnet but she said her husband would take care of it and hung up. We always take responsibility and try to make customers happy. We have many happy customers but you can't please everyone. We really did apologize to [redacted] and tried our best. I'm not sure what she is wanting besides maybe us to pay for the magnet which I will do. If she wants to put the magnet at her front door we will come by and leave a check under the mat or if she doesn't have a mat in her mailbox in a stamped envelope. Please advise.
