I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

My name is [redacted] and I am the store manager at Peoples Furniture.  The ID number on this case is [redacted].We sold a leather reclining sofa and two leather recliners on Wednesday May 10th.The customer wanted to take all the items from the floor. He did take the red reclinerwith him but I...

asked him to let me order the sofa and chair as it only takes about two weeks to get it in. So he was ok with me doing that. The next day he came back in and saw another group on their website. I told him at that point I had already ordered thegroup. They decided that they wanted to cancel the recliner and order another sofa. I ordered the other sofa that day. The two sofas came in on Friday the 26th and I calledand we delivered them the next day. The delivery men took them in the house with theshipping covers on all the backs. They plugged them in and made sure they would reclineand working properly. The customer seemed pleased and gave the two men $20 each.On Tuesday May 30th he called in and was irate about the sofa we delivered. He said is was a piece of junk. I offered to replace it for him and he got even more irate. I explained that I had ordered it and  really would like to replace it. At that point he hung up on me. Iwaited about five minutes and called  and his wife answered the phone. I asked to speakto him and she said he would not talk to me. I told her they had spent a lot of money with meand I wanted to make it right by replacing it. She asked me to pick it up. As I was getting the words out of mymouth she hung up on me. I was going to pick it up. I called back a third time to tell them thisand they hung up immediately. It is impossible to correct something if they won't talk to you. The next day we received a certified letter claiming all these things that were wrong withthe sofa and the bug story. That was never mentioned the day before. His two sofas were newin factory wrapping. The red recliner did come off the floor at his request. We have been in business since 1934 and have a excellent reputation of customer service in our community.Thank You [redacted].
