[I am not satisfied because Mr*** would only reimburse me for the cost of the stolen items if I bought them used and now because I bought used items I am out a DVD player againThe DVD player that was stolen was only months old and now he is saying I can come to pick up a used GPS he has but how do I know it will function properly or whether it is even coparable in value to my GPS that was stole out of my car while it was in his possessionAlso I think the original complaint I had made still needs to be addressed about being over charged for the towing of my vehicle and people need to know that he had blackmailed me into agreeing that the original complaint was settled in order for him to reimburse me for the stolen items from my carHe should have reimbursed me for the purchase of all new items that were stolen from my car.]

I did and he did in fact pay me for the cost associated with the purchase of the leap pad, headrest, and DVD player, but he told me I had to purchase used items since my items were usedHe said that he was gonna give me GPS that he had to replace mine that was stolen which he never didMy original DVD player that I purchased used had no refund or exchange option because it was used

Initially he took to a dealership and they were going to charge him $6000 for work.  He brought to us and we replaced the timing chain.  After a couple of weeks he can back and we told him to take to the dealership.  They replaced the O2 sensor and fuel injector, we paid the...

dealership for this work.  Consumer came back again requesting the timing chain be replaced again.  We torn down and found nothing wrong.  He was only charged half of what we told him he would have to pay if nothing was wrong.[redacted]

Mam you said everything was satisfactory. Now you are complain again. I have done everything in my power to please you. If you need a gps come by and I will give you one

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The Dealership never was going to charge me 6000 for the timing chain work. Peoples garage was cheaper than the dealership that's why I went with them. As far as my O2 and the injection I never went to the dealership to get that fix and that had nothing to do with the timing chain that is a whole separate issue from the timing chain. So to give you a little back ground so you won't be confused I had got 3 separate work done with people garage (1) my car was misfiring and they told me it was something with the coil pack It was #2 coil (2) I got all 4 of my struts done there too (3) then my timing chain, and I have the receipts for all 3 separate work I got done was to clear is up all that work was not done at one time it was done 3 separate times. Now the issue with the the coil pack #2 was that my car started misfiring again I brought it back to them and told them that my car was misfiring again and asked them to look at it because I brought it to them to fix it the first time it was misfiring they scan it with the computer and it came up with about 20 codes they told me that all these codes were not the problem and the machine couldn't pick up the right code. They ask me to take it to the Cadillac dealership to get it diagnosis because they machine are made for Cadillacs and if it's something to do with the coil pack they will give me my money back for the diagnosis. So I went there and got it diagnosis and it came back it had something to do with the coil pack but is was #6 this time so I got Peoples garage to replace coil #6 they charge me 106.76 the dealership charge me 75.00 to scan the car so they took 75.00 off the 106.76 because they said they was wrong the first. So to they saying that I got the dealership to fix something on my car and they paid the dealership to fix my car is not true and I have that receipt to for that work. Now as for my initial complaint like I said in the letter that I sent my car was making a ticking sound I took it to peoples garage they told me it was my timing change they did the work. My car started making the same ticking sound again  I brought it back to them they told me that they had to break my car down was when they broke it down they checked all the parts that they replace the first time that was cover under the warranty they call me back told me that they couldn't find nothing wrong so I would have to pay to get my car out back together I got mad told them that I shouldn't have to pay for again because they told me it was the timing chain and they did the work so either they did something wrong when they put it back together or they misdiagnosed it they told me that they would just charge me half of the 900 I didn't want to pay that they said if I wanted my car back put together that's what I needed to pay so I needed my car back so I paid it. When I got my car back and started it up it wasn't making the ticking noise any more so I went back into the garage and told them I need my 450.00 dollars back because my car is not ticking any more so obviously I saw something yall missed the first time and fixed it so that means that it is covered under the warranty because if yall did fix anything or replace anything my car should be making the same noise but it's not so yall had to fix something right this time that you didn't do right the first time that's why I want my 450.00. I gave them 5,000.00 for work I got done there they should be fair with me and give me my 450.00 back bacause they know they were wrong for charging me anything for they mistake

Review: I picked customer service issues but I could have picked several given. I will start with customer service, this entire issue started on October 31,2013,today is December 12,2013 and my car is still at their garage not repaired. I, as a customer feel they have mis-used their advertising bynot keeping their promiss to deliver quality work on the agreed date. My agreement with Peoples as a trusting customer has only been a mistake for me put for my family and our health. I put my faith in their advertising as a Auto Maintenance & Repair Service, for me, my guaranteed repaires was paid in full on November 6,2013,at which time I was given a 12 month warranty for the repairs. I, live in Roanoke,va.and have made two trip to Waynesboro to have my transmission repaired, only to find when I returned home and had their work checked,I still had the same problem. Peoples came to Roanoke with a rollback on Dec.4,to do more repaires. I have yet to have them call me with any information about a pick up date.I have made several calls, talked to employees only tobe told I would have to talk to the owner, their promises to return calls hasnot happened.I do not have any idea if or when I will get my car back. I have paid for my repairs in good faith and only asked for them tobe done. I could write a book about all the phone calls not returned, time wasted on travel, money spent on gas, rental car, food and the respect that hasnot been shown to me or my family. I feel Peoples has left me no choice but to ask for help from the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want a set date my car will be fixed and returned to Roanoke Va. with a warranty beginning on that day. I want a appology to me and my family forall the disrespect we have had. I want compensation for the money we had to pay and spend due to the problems that was caused by Peoples work to my car. I will have my car checked in Roanoke,Va.if more repairs are needed I expect Peoples to pay for them and to be done in Roanoke,Va.

Response:

Hi [redacted]t at Revdex.com.

This is Cameron Lenahan from People’s Garage, Inc. Waynesboro, VA.

I am responding to your request of December 30, 2013.

People’s Garage received a phone call from the [redacted] on October 30, 2013

for a disabled vehicle (Ford Taurus) on the parkway. [redacted] responded with Tow Truck.

When he got there, he told Mr. [redacted] it was $400.00 to haul vehicle to Vinton, VA or free

To haul to People’s Garage to be fixed. Customer requested vehicle to be hauled to People’s Garage.

We had scheduled customer’s already on premises to be worked on.

The Customer’s Vehicle was pulled into Shop Bay after getting caught up on scheduled customer’s vehicles. My Ford mechanic who is a prior employee of [redacted] Ford diagnosed problem.

The problem with the Ford Taurus was it needed a transmission. [redacted] our service writer called and gave customer 3 quotes. First quote was for a new jasper transmission, second quote was a used transmission, third was to rebuild his transmission. A couple days later, he opted to rebuild his transmission.

Owner agreed to rent customer a rental car and rebuild transmission. Transmission was taken out of vehicle and rebuilt by [redacted]’s Transmission. [redacted]’s Transmission has been in business for 40 years. Transmission had to be rebuilt. When transmission was received back at People’s Garage, transmission was put into car. I also took $20.00 off per day for his rental.

Car was test driven up Afton Mountain and shifted well.

I Cameron was headed to an appointment when [redacted] came to pick up vehicle and pay bill.

He repeatedly cursed my office employee and threw a tantrum in my office. I had to cancel my appointment and return to the office. Upon which, I had to come back to office and check Mr. [redacted] out myself.

Mr. [redacted] took his vehicle back home to Vinton. He returned back to Vinton with his car. A couple days later I heard from Mr [redacted] and he said that he took it to [redacted] who was his mechanic in Vinton. He told me that we put a hole in his ac line. I asked him how much it was and I sent him a $180 check that he agreed on. A couple days later Mr. [redacted] called and said it was leaking. [redacted] his mechanic, called and said something was leaking, he didn’t know what….but it was going to cost me $300.00.

I was skeptical of this conversation, and I asked him to get a second opinion.

He mentioned he would take it to [redacted] Ford. I told him to take it to [redacted] Ford and I would pay the bill. I paid $120.00 to [redacted] Ford. They told me the transmission housing was cracked. I told Mr. [redacted], I would come tow the vehicle back to Waynesboro and change the transmission housing. He requested a rental car, I paid $359.00 for a rental car.

I bought a transmission housing. I had it replaced and put a new filter and new fluid back into transmission. We then hauled it back to Mr. [redacted] in Vinton, VA. Even though transmission has been fixed and is not leaking, customer is still not happy. He is requesting his entire $2,600 back.

I feel that People’s Garage has went above and beyond to service this customer.

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I do not accept Mr. Lenahan answer to our complaint because there are several differances in the way this issue has been handled. I appreciate Mr, Lenahan answering my complaint because know we know the issues we do not agree on.

The tow, truck driver did not offer us a tow back to Roanoke, he offered us a ride in our car on top of the roll back to Peoples Garage, the car was let off in the back of Peoples where we where able to get out of the car we went into the office to discuss what we needed to do to get the car repaired. we were told at that time they would have to check the car, a 2003 Ford Taurus, for the proplem. The tow truck driver had already told us if it was the transmission they,Peoples, would have to send it out to be worked on because they did not work on transmissions. We knew the problem was the transmission but we did not know the extent of the proplem until we had to leave our car in Waynesboro, Va. at Peoples Garage to look at the car fully as soon as they got a chance to put the car in the garge and up on the lift. We were told by Peoples it would be a day or two before they could do this. In order to get home we had to rent a car to drive home at $30.00 a day for a total of $369.48, we had to keep the car in Roanoke to drive back to Waynesboro to pick up our car we had left on October 30,2013. We were in touch with Peoples on November 2,2013 , at that time we were told our car had to have a new transmission costing us $3900.00 after my husband asked for other options we were given a salvaged transmission that had 54,000miles on it for $2900.00 dollars. My husband asked if we had any other options and at that time was told no. We thought that price was too high and wanted to check some transmissiion shops in Roanoke, we called a transmission shop we had work done before on our truck, we asked the owner [redacted], what he thought, he said the price was to high and we should have our own transmission rebuilt, we caled Peoples back told them what we wanted and asked the price they said $2500.00 dollars and we could pick the car up on Nov.06,2013. When we went to get our car it was not ready, we had to wait two to three hours, then we noticed the back tag had been stolen, that is when I and my husband both got up set, then we were told they could check the security camera, then we were told they could'nt do that because it did't pick up where our car was setting, we both , at that time wanted the police to be called, we were not getting any response to our request and we did get more up set. We were out of town, we had waited for hours and now we had to get help some way, finally when the lady at the desk saw we wasn't going to let it go she called the police, it took about an hour for the policeman to come, and we expllained the proplem, by that time Peoples Garage had pulled the car out front and said the car was ready to go. We were putting in the report with the police when the policeman said look at this you've got something running out from under your car, it looked like transmission fluid. We then had to go back to the office and tell them they needed to take another look at the car because of the liquid running out of it,the machanic pulled the car back into the garge then came into the office and told us it was just over flow from transmission fluid. We paid our bill with our credit card, the charge was $2716.63 minus $60.00 dollars Peoples agreed to pay because they had kept the car longer than we had been told and they took off $175.00 for the first tow on October 30, 2013, for a total of $2481.63. We left the garage thinking we had a repaired car and happy to be going home after everthing that had happened that day, and I will agree with Mr. Lenahan my husband did get up set and he did say some not so nice words, but it was the only way we could get some kind of help and yes, that is when Mr. Lenahan came in, before that I did'nt know where he was, only that he could'nt be reached. We did say we were sorry for being so upset but hoped they could understand how we felt. The machanic, the lady at the desk and Mr. Lenahan did'nt seame to happy, especially when we asked for some help on the rental, which as I said was $60.00, also they never once said they would call the police if we did'nt calm down. We were about 30 to 45 minutes out of Waynesboro,Va. when the car starte heating up, we thought it was oil or transmission fluid burning off the motor, after we got home the next day my husband took our car to [redacted] Transmission to have it checked the car had no antifreeze in it due to a pinched line and we still had a leak in our axel we paid for these repairs$368.78 and called Mr. Lenahan, he agreeded to pay $150.00 of this bill. Then we found we still had a leak in the transmission we called Mr.Lenahan, and discussed the problem with him he did not want the car fixed in Roanoke,Va. so we had to drive our car back to Waynesboro,Va. to let Peoples fix our car, this was Nov. 11, 2013, my husband was there all day long on waiting on the car to be fixed when he left Waynesboro,Va. he thought the car was fixed, The next day we took it back to [redacted] Transmission Shop to be checked the transmission was still leaking, someone had put the wrong size bolt into the transmission housing and the bolt had gone into the housing and caused a leak. Peoples was called again and asked to have the car fixed in Roanoke,Va. that was refused but we were told if we took the car to a ford delearship and they agreed it was their fault they would bring our car back to Waynesboro,Va. and fix it themselves.they chose for our car to be checked at [redacted] Ford Co. in Roanoke, Va. Peoples also said they wanted to make the appointment for the check up. We took our car to [redacted] on November 26,2013, they had not had any contact with Peoples Garage, we had to make the appointment ourselves for November 27,2013 [redacted] did find it was a bolt that was to long had been ran into the housing, they did pay [redacted] $116.90 to tell them about their mistake. Peoples was to come and pick our car up and they did on December 04,2013, with a roll back truck and took it back to Waynesboro,Va.,to be fixed for the third time. We waited and waited and we had no calls from Peoples about what repairs they were doing and when the car would be ready. On December 09,2013, I called Peoples, the only person I could get in touch with was a machanic, he promised to get in touch with Mr.Lenahan, I wanted Peoples to rent us a car until we could get our car back, they had our car since December 04,2013, and had not been worked on, the man I spoke with told me that was above his pay grade but he would let me know or he would get Mr.Lenahan to call,he promised he would do this, I did not receive a call back that day or the next day. I waited until December 12,2013, and I wrote the Revdex.com. I wanted some kind of answers . On December 14,2013, I received a call from Mr.Lenahan and he was shocked when ha had received the email from the Revdex.com, I told him I wanted a rent a car until our car was fixed since our car had not been fixed since he had the car towed to his garage on November 06,2013, he explained to me he wanted to fix our car with some kind of bonding agent that would be as good as new, I told him NO, we had not agreed to that ,did not want that done and expected the car to be fixed as we had agreed and paid for on in full on November 06,2013. I did not know at that time he had already put this bonding agent on our transmission to repair the leak. We paid $2,481.63, for our transmission to be rebuilt correctly, that was the agreement. On December 17,2013, Me.Lenahan call my husband and told him he had decided to replace our housing with a new one and would pay for us a rental until they brought our car back to us which would be December 24,2013. We agreed to this with Mr. Lenahan (owner of Peoples Garage) told us on December 17,2013. We picked our rental car up on December 18,2013, Peoples paid for this car which was six days $40.00 a day and we paid $55.00 extra to get a medium size car instead of a compact. Our car was brought back to our house in Vinton, Va.,,on a roll back truck on December 24,2013. We were not able to get the car checked out untilDecember 27,2013, because of the holidays, we took it to [redacted] Transmission and had them tell us what had been done to fix the car, Mr. [redacted] knew what our car had wrong with it when it left his shop tobe checked by [redacted] in Roanoke, so he knew what to look for. On December 27, 2013, our car was found to still have a transmission leak on the top of the right axel the transmission case had been painted to hide the bonding agent Peoples Garage had put on it, without our permission. When they painted the case the paint ran into the netural switch that sets on top of the case causing this switch to short out, this switch is to keep the car from starting when it is in drive. we paid for this switch to be replaced and the labor to do it $369.75 total. We did not have the leak repaired because we were told by a transmission specialist our car needed a new case to repair the leak $1500.00. I feel with all the chances Peoples Garage had to repair our car as we agreed on November 02,2013, it should have been fixed. We are asking for the original payment made to Peoples Garage on November 06,2013, $2481.63, for quality work we expected and paid for. We are not asking for any payment for the time from October 30,2013 to January 03,2014, Our car is still not fixed! We will, through no fault of our making, have to pay for the repairs to our transmission.,

Review: I called them for a tow and was promised that they had a certified mechanic there that could quickly resolve the problem. The car went to the garage and they charged $558.00 and said that they had fixed the problem. Upon driving the vehicle home, I discovered that the problem still existed and nothing was fixed. So $558 were wasted. I called to tell them they hadn't fixed the problem. They promised an immediate tow back to the garage from my home and it took a day and a half for them to finally arrive.

When they did show up and took the car, it sat in their garage for the whole day and they never looked at it. They continued to ignore it until I called about it. Then they checked out the car and are telling me that it will cost $1750 to fix. I wanted to take the car to a different mechanic because I can't trust them to actually fix the problem this time. I've asked for a tow and they've repeatedly dodged attempts to have it towed back to my home so I can have it fixed properly.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the repair charged to my account be refunded, a letter of apology for the repeated untruths presented to me, and for this complaint to be maintained on their record so that other people don't have to go through this.

Review: On 7-29-13 I, [redacted], took my business owned 2004 Chevy Silverado to the above names business(s) around 10:30am for an annual state safety inspection. It was locked and the keys were given to the girl in the office, [redacted]. After not hearing anything by 4pm the following day, 7-30-13, I went to check on the vehicle. Only upon my inquiry, did they realize an employee had left the keys in my vehicle overnight, and subsequently it was stolen sometime during the night of 7/29/13 or early morning of 7/30/13.Cameron Lenahan, president, stated he would make it right, but did NOT wish to turn things in on his insurance because of a $2,500 deductible. A police report was taken by Waynesboro Police Dept. (Officer [redacted]) and filed. The truck was recovered 3 days later after having been lived in by a drifter/homeless 60yr old man. The truck had been wrecked, it had been lived in, and contained rotten food, feces, and urine inside. It has an estimated $5k-$10k in damages and is a potential Biohazard due to the bodily fluids expelled within and the overall smell of the vehicle's interior. Mr. Lenahan's employee admits to having the vehicle keys and to going out to obtain pertinent information from the vehicle for state safety inspection. She does not remember what she did with them afterward. When the larceny suspect was caught by police, he had the keys in his possession which clearly indicates Mr. Lenahan's employee left the vehicle keys in my vehicle overnight and it was subsequently stolen because of this (there is no damage to the vehicle's steering column, therefore it was NOT "hotwired" or anything of the sort).Cameron Lenahan and I have spoken several times, and he refuses to pay for any damages to the vehicle, and also refuses to divulge his insurance information to me.I have paid the necessary $5.00 at the Waynesboro Police Dept. to obtain a copy of the Police Report filed, and it has NO insurance information within the report.Mr. Lenahan failed to take "reasonable care" of my vehicle while in his possession, and in doing so, because he is a repair facility and also has a tow service and impound lot, he is required by law to have "garage keepers" insurance, which will cover the damages. However, because of Mr. Lenahan's refusal to provide his insurance information to me, I am writing you to request your assistance in obtaining his insurance information so that I may file the necessary claim(s) and thus have my vehicle properly repaired. Secondly, I am inquiring as to whether or not Mr. Lenahan's businesses even in fact, have insurance at all. If he does not have insurance, by operating a rollback, a tow service and a public repair shop, he is in violation of more than one statute, regulation and/or law required to operate one or all of the above services and run one or both businesses within the state of Virginia and the City of Waynesboro. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to further discuss this matter. Respectfully,-[redacted]###-###-####-office###-###-####-directDesired Settlement: See above

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1) Mr. Lenahan has refused to pay any amount of money to me regarding this matter, except, what he believes is the cost I paid for the vehicle at a dealer only wholesale auction. This amount, even if correct, does not include items I added to the vehicle, repairs made to the vehicle, detailing the vehicle, two separate tow bills of the vehicle subsequent to it being stolen, the cost to replace the key, the decreased value (as each week, the vehicle is older and decreases in value), or the amount I spent trying to have the vehicle professionally cleaned after it was returned to me. 2) Mr. Lenahan nor Mr. [redacted] apparently understand the fact, that in deed, I myself as a person, was a customer of Peoples Garage. The fact I own a used car dealership or anything of the sort is irrelevant. Had a customer off the street had the same incident occur, they would expect to be reimbursed their vehicles NADA value as well. As an example: If Mr. Lenahan or Mr. [redacted] were to purchase a car from a family member of theirs fro say $1,500 and the cars value is $8,000. If that vehicle were stolen from their home and completely trashed or deemed a bio-hazard, they certainly would NOT settle with an insurance company or anyone else for $1,500. They would want the full value of the vehicle, $8,000. Mr. Lenahan and Mr. [redacted] apparently believe that I am not entitled to such, because I am a used car dealer. In doing so, they are discriminating against me, based on my occupation by attempting to reimburse me a reduced price for my vehicle. My complaint against Peoples Garage is the same as if I were any other customer. They cannot discriminate against me based on my occupation, nor will they be permitted to "discount" what is owed to me based on my occupation. It is their responsibility as a business to turn the loss into their insurance company and let their adjusters handle the matter. Short of court action, this is the only resolution acceptable. Regards,[redacted]

I have been using people for a couple of years now and have always had a great experience with them. I am very pleased with their work and I always tell my friends to go there

Review: My car had an issue that caused me to run off the side of the road (no other vehicles involved, no property damage and no police report filed). The respondents to the accident called a tow company to tow the vehicle. When the tow company arrived the proceeded to hook my vehicle up to the tow truck. My mother was there on the scene and told them that she only lived a few miles up the road and he could take it to her house to unload. When he pulls in my mothers driveway with the car he said he could not unload until we paid him a $325 recovery fee and a $75 tow fee. My mother asked why there was a recovery fee being imposed and was told that was so they could go back and repair any grass or property damage where they pulled the vehicle out from. My mother explained to them that there was no property damage. She was instructed to call the owner of the company to let him explain. When my mother ([redacted]) called Cameron the owner he again confirmed that the recovery fee was to take care of any property damage that they may have caused when pulling car out and towing it. She again explained to him that there was no property damage and that he could have the State Trooper confirm that with him. Then the owner said that the insurance company would cover this cost anyway but in order for them to cover it he had to take the car to his shop or we could pay the $400 and not be reimbursed. we told him at this point we only had liability coverage and that we could not affords the impound charges for it being stored until all this was taken care of. He stated we would not be charged any storage fees and that once the insurance company took care of the $325 recovery fee we would only owe him $75 and he would even personally bring the car back to our residence. He said he would be in touch as soon as he heard something. I called my insurance company immediately after they left with my car and my insurance company stated they could not cover any 3rd party charge such as a recovery fee. My mother then called Cameron back and told him that the insurance company had said they were not gonna pay the $325 recovery fee and his exact words were and I quote " I promise to you that they will pay it, I will have to call and argue with them and it may take 1 week, it may take 2 weeks and I have even had it take 3 months not to scare you. I promise you will be only responsible for the tow fee of $75.' My mother explained that I could not go without a vehicle for weeks, that I have a daughter and I was starting a new career. He stated he would get to working on it right away. Well a whole week goes by and we still had not heard anything from him so my mother calls Cameron again and asked if he had got started on having the car looked at yet and all he said was he was on it. this has been a nightmare that I just want over. Several calls and attempts to fix this and have not accomplished nothing at all. Also good customer service would be to make it clear to a person before hooking the vehicle up to your tow truck that there will be additional fees outside of the regular tow fee!Desired Settlement: I want the $325 recovery fee waived and my vehicle released to me and if the vehicle is not in operable condition I want them to tow it back to my mothers residence where we asked them to leave it in the first place with no impound storage fees. I do realize I owe $75 for the tow but this is all I feel I owe.

I did and he did in fact pay me for the cost associated with the purchase of the leap pad, headrest, and DVD player, but he told me I had to purchase used items since my items were used. He said that he was gonna give me GPS that he had to replace mine that was stolen which he never did. My original DVD player that I purchased used had no refund or exchange option because it was used.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[I am not satisfied because Mr. [redacted] would only reimburse me for the cost of the stolen items if I bought them used and now because I bought used items I am out a DVD player again. The DVD player that was stolen was only 4 months old and now he is saying I can come to pick up a used GPS he has but how do I know it will function properly or whether it is even coparable in value to my GPS that was stole out of my car while it was in his possession. Also I think the original complaint I had made still needs to be addressed about being over charged for the towing of my vehicle and people need to know that he had blackmailed me into agreeing that the original complaint was settled in order for him to reimburse me for the stolen items from my car. He should have reimbursed me for the purchase of all new items that were stolen from my car.]

Review: I brought my Car to people's garage because it was making a weird ticking noise they told me that it was my timing chain that was making the noise. I told them to go ahead and fix it they charged me 2300 to fix it and it had a lot of parts that needed to be replace after they fixed it they said I had a year warranty on the work. 2 weeks later the noise came back so I called down there and told them that my car was making the same noise it was making the first time I brought it to you. After a month of them giving me the run around I finally made a appointment to bring my car back to them so they can fix it. They told me that if it wasn't the timing chain or any of the parts that they replace or anything they did wrong that it wouldn't be cover under the warranty. So of course when they called me they said that they didn't see anything wrong with the timing chain or any of the parts that they replaced and they don't know where the noise is coming from. So I told them to just put my car back together they told me it was going to be 900 for them to put my car back together since it was not there fault. So I got upset and ask them why are yall charging me to put my car back together it's making the same exact noise when I brought it yall the first time so either yall didn't put something on right or not tight enough or yall miss something. They told me that it was nothing they did all the parts that they replaced look good so the noise is coming from somewhere else and they said the best thing they can do was charge me half of the 900. I told the guy that I shouldn't have to pay anything he then said do you want your car back or not sir. So I paid 450 so I can get my car back because I needed my car back for work. When I got in my car and started it the noise was gone I waited a while to see if the noise would come back after 30 minutes of waiting for the noise to come back I went back into the garage and told them that my car was not making the noise any more and that I need the 450 that I gave you back because obviously you saw something that you didn't do right the first or one of the parts needed to be replace and you didn't tell me so the work is covered under the warranty he told me no I can't get my 450 back I ask him why if the only parts yall check was the parts that I brought at first that is covered under the warranty and those are the parts yall put back in and now my car is not making the noise any more yall had to have done something wrong the first time so I think I should be able to get my 450 back because it was something yall did wrong the first time he told me no and that if I had a issue I needed to talk to the owner its been 3 weeks haven't heard from anybody yetDesired Settlement: I would like my 450 back because the work they did should be covered by them because they did something wrong the first time

Initially he took to a dealership and they were going to charge him $6000 for work. He brought to us and we replaced the timing chain. After a couple of weeks he can back and we told him to take to the dealership. They replaced the O2 sensor and fuel injector, we paid the dealership for this work. Consumer came back again requesting the timing chain be replaced again. We torn down and found nothing wrong. He was only charged half of what we told him he would have to pay if nothing was wrong.[redacted]
