Peoria Speedway's policy is:Once the feature event is completed during the night, the shoe is deemed complete in the case of inclement weatherNo cash refunds will be issued.The standard process for most race tracks is to maa race the following weekend and charge people admission againThey would then run two racing events that night for one price.This particular event was a sanctioned UMP Summer Nationals Traveling TourThe racers and UMP Board of Directors, made the decision to deem the race complete since the traveling tour did not allow time to make up the event.With this said, Peoria Speedway held an "EXTRA" night of racing for the fans to see a free night of racingWe went above and beyond our procedures to try and accommodate all race fans and driversThe cost of admission was $for those individuals who did not attend the first eventThe cost breakdown is as follows:Summer Nationals Race:June 17, races total=$admissionWe completed of the racers prior to the rain.Make Up Date-June 21, races total remaining=$admission or free with your ticket stub from June 17th12/$30=Approx$per raceraces X $2.31=$Total Races Completed on June 17thraces X $2.31=$total races completed on June 21stTotal Admission cost $and we charged $30.00As with any outdoor entertainment events, you run a risk of inclement weatherUnfortunately, the weather is out of our controlPeoria Speedway made every effort to accommodate everyone who was affected by the rain out.We have not received any phone calls from complaints for this eveningWe would be happy to discuss this matter further if desiredIf you have any additional questions, we can be reached at 309-360-5516.Thank you, [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The races there were NOT run were the most important of the Events to be run..Since the FEATURE did not reach the halfway point, in this case laps, it was NOT completed per your own rulesAs for your comparison to other Outdoor events, they offer make up dates when possible or exchanges for similar valued events What I asked for was FAIR compensation, which giving me a $ticket in place of a $ticket is NOT equal compensationI purchased tickets that night, at a cost of $120, you offered me in essence $for this because you chose to have a "make up" race on a Wednesday night, some people have JOBS and can not attend through the weekMy expectations of your business being FAIR and Reasonable have apparently been proven to be wrong
