This owner is of poor Character and is a liar. His manager made arrangements to rent a back room, $50 for a baby shower or free if we order appetizers. The owner interrupted the whole function and pulled my pregnant niece aside and threatened to call the cops or she had to pay 250.00. So, when I asked him about the prior agreement, some of us were going to order, he said "absolutely not!" "All I can do is give you $50 off for serving you teas,remember I have to pay for electric for cooling, cleaning of that area you are using, and paying my waitress" saying this he still charged us $270.00. Not 250.00 as he had quotes in the middle of the baby shower. Of course, tears were flowing for my pregnant niece because of the situation and embarrassment. Mind you, our waitress was less the fair at best, had to request refills of tea multiple times, We cleaned the room prior to leaving. As I walked out I talked to the waitress and made sure she new that her boss was going to make sure she got paid/tipped because this is what he told us when we paid 270.00 which we just didn't question because we just wanted everything to back to a happy event. While loading the car, I was informed that the manager stopped my pregnant niece and her mother once again, this time demanding gratuity for the waitress serving us tea, $60.00. I was beyond upset. As he was getting in his vehicle I shouted to him that I would be reporting him to the Revdex.com. He called of the cops of course but not before arguing with my sister about feeling horrible but he had a 10,000 a month electric bill he had to pay. I finally told him, he should be ashamed of himself. He not only lied once but multiple times, sat in his truck while arguing with us as to why he had to charge us 250.00. "Really, not only did you charge us 250.00, it was 270.00 then you didn't take care if your waitress we did for 60.00. This business served one couple in our party food because they overheard part of the argument regarding a discount if we ordered food. I can't judge his food but a business owner should never do this to a costumer, $330 for a room to bring us iced tea and water for about 25 adults and 6 kids. We helped him pay part of his bill tonight and his waitress.
