Montana Van brought to fix door dinger - they locked radiocharged us to unlock radiodid not fix door dinger - they called and said they didMarch 25,2016 Pontiac Montana VanPeppers charge $400 + to stop door dingerGot there van not fixedDesired SettlementBusiness held accountableBusiness Response Mr.[redacted] brought van in for warning chime that would not shut off. 1st visit, we traced door ajar wires but unable to locate faulty wire. Ordered control module & customer returned for 2nd visit to continue diagnosis. Advised customer cost of parts and labor that had been put into the van. Mr. [redacted] wanted to leave vehicle for further diagnosis. A guest of Mr. [redacted]'s became very agitated & began using obscene language to employees and other customers. Mr. [redacted] contacted the Service Manager the following day at which time the Service Manager asked that Mr. [redacted]'s guest not return to our business due to the loud obscenities and shouting expletives that had been used in our Service Dept & parking lot on the previous visit. Mr. [redacted] stated he would pick up the van without any further work being performed. Mr. [redacted] was advised by the Service Manager that he could pick up the van. The Service Mgr. also advised Mr. [redacted] that he would not be charged any parts or labor charges that had occurred while the Service Dept was working on the van. Mr. [redacted] picked up his van and all work performed was done at no charge to him. We did not collect any money from the customer at all. All parts and labor for work performed on the customer's vehicle was done so at our expense. The customer did not pay anything, not sure why the complaint says they were charged $400+.

I purchased a new 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 7 months ago from Peppers Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. In those 7 months it has had numerous mechanical and electrical problems, and has been in the dealership service shop over 21 days. It is back in the shop today as well. Their service department cannot or will not find and repair the problem. I had purchased a new Dodge Durango from the same business in 2006. I also had A/C problems with it that never got fixed. [redacted] has been called and a complaint filed.Desired SettlementUnder the [redacted] it is required that companies must be resposible in cases like this. We had traded a 2006 Dodge Durango for this new 2013 vehicle. A refund is in order in this case. Business Response This is a warranty issue and we are working with customer and [redacted] Warranty to get this issue resolved. We are in constant contact with customer and our [redacted] Service Rep and [redacted] Technical Services and will continue to get this resolved as soon as possible. These customers are valued customers of ours that we want to keep happy. Let me know of any assistance you need from us to get this matter resolved.
