Peppertree Apartments

In the year of 2010 I moved to the Pepper Tree apartment on [redacted] dr. They apartment had two female security officers at the time. One day I return home to the security standing on the staircase then proceeded down the hall conversating with a man, with my door kicked in. I ask why wasn't I contacted by the office, and the office told me that wasnt there problem or the security job to notify them tgat my door had been kicked in. I went in the home all of my clothes and 7 month old daughter clothes and shoes was stolen. My tv's, game system, food, dining room chairs, mattress all stolen. Wholes on the hallway wall. I xall the police and made a report my two aunts and bestfriend was there with me. I told the iffice that I was leaving the hoyse tgat same day because I felt it was unsafe for me and my daughter. I was 19 and terrified that some oe had kicked my door in. Within a few months they sent me a bill for damage fees. That where cause do the break in. The door and the wall beside the door that was stripped to h force from it being kicked in. Whole in the in the hallway walls thatcwere from the break in.Desired SettlementI want the payment to be cancelled and to be taken off of my credit, because they were notified the police was on the sceen with report and saw wgatchad happen and notice damages and all my property missing. I had to get excorted to the apartments to get the littlr stuff I had left because of all the gang bangers standing around the staircases and shoitings and violent crimes.Business Response This former resident was encouraged at move in to purchase renter's insurance. Upon vacating the unit former resident did not turn in keys. Legal proceedings had to be followed to gain possession. Therefore, any damages to unit, above normal wear and tear is the lease holders responsibility. The amount that the collection company has is correct.
