was referred to the Perfect Arch specifically a tech named Francesca On May 13, I went to the salon located at Walton Street Syracuse, NY decided a gift card would be a great for Mother’s Day falling on Sunday May 14, & a gift card for my Mother’s Birthday falling in Wednesday May 17, I explained all of this to the person at the desk before I agreed to purchase the gift cards my Mother had undergone Chemo; I had contacted the local ACS office and specifically asked if this would “take” to her skin in light of everything she’s been throughI was told by the Perfect Arch representative at the desk she would be an ideal candidateI also inquired about the cost for these serviced to be provided specifically by Francesca, I was told that charge was There was no explanation about different levels or costs of the in-house techniciansOn Wednesday July 19, at 3:10pm my mother received an email stating the salon was unable to contact her by phone and her appointment was being cancelledThis remaining technician was a master technician this title drives the price to My mother made me aware of the situation on Saturday July 22, as I am the one who purchased the gift cards and we both gift cards as they were purchased for the package specifically with Francesca and I would like a time to come in for a refund as the salon no longer offers the service with the technician recommended by the ACSOn that same day Heidi returned my phone call at 2:03pm to discuss the options we have with the gift cards such as eyebrow shaping and tintingI missed the call the information was left on voicemailOn Monday July 24, I read the entire Perfect Arch website and it still lists the Advanced Technician as Francesca [redacted] with a price of That same document also states customers are Perfect Arch, not with a specific Technician [redacted] stated she would seek alternatives as I was unable to refund her gift cardsResponse: The education of gift cards needed to take place at the time if purchase not after the salon decided to make a personnel issue of Francesca leaving her employment a customer service issue involving price gouging many clientsProof was provided in the original complaint with Facebook reviews of the Perfect Arch by many others who are in the same boatPlease also note The Perfect Arch has since removed the ability to place reviews on their Facebook page as they were being called out for the unprofessionalism, price gouging, appointment cancellations and the numerous calls by clients that were not returnedI have contacted the group of people whom have similar stories and we will all be reposting our one star reviews on Yelp and Google reviews as The Perfect Arch cannot remove the review section on those websitesIn being completely transparent we will also be emailing entities that promote locally owned businesses as this information should be known to prospective clients before they too are swindled and this business should not be supported as they do not do right by their clients Since this conversation [redacted] had filed fraudulent charges with her bank for the gift cards that were purchased [redacted] did not purchase a service with Perfect Arch, she purchased gift cards for a specific dollar amountResponse: I did not file fraudulent charges I filed services not rendered as I was specific on May 13, at The Perfect Arch when I purchased the gift cards that I was there to get my Mother an appointment with Francesca and that appointment was madeThe Perfect Arch should be educated in what they respond to you as I shared all of that information in the original complaint with the Revdex.comI am also pursuing a complaint with the New York State Attorney General Office and have a local reporter willing to do a story if I am unsuccessful in my attempts at a full refund with all other avenuesCurrently, we have three technicians available for Microblading and are able to accommodate an appointment for [redacted] We have attempted to work with both [redacted] and [redacted] and have been unsuccessfulWe are unable to refund the purchase of a gift cardResponse: On Tuesday July 25, at 12:01pm I missed a call with I returned the call at 12:45pm and spoke with Heidi; after much conversation where she refused to understand my Mother has NO eyebrows to shape or tint she said we could hold on to the gift cards, sell the gift cards but said they would not take them back as they have no cash valueIf they hold no value how did you take my currency for purchase? Heidi also stated, my Mother is “top on the list” to be contacted when they hire a new advanced technician (the cost)Please request The Perfect Arch provide a copy of their phone bill showing the outgoing calls to either myself or my mother’s number as to date we have NOT been called about a possible appointmentBesides as they do not care about their clients all of this back and forth also clearly missed the timeframe of my Mother’s vacation and professional photographs with her Granddaughters that occurred 8/21/to 8/25/ Conclusion: With all the discord and unprofessionalism I have great concern sending anyone to The Perfect Arch especially since the procedure my Mother wants involves micro-blading the skin; I am supposed to trust the unprofessionalism will not be taken out on an innocent party when the right thing to do is so simple and The Perfect Arch cannot see thatAfter all of this ridiculousness I am seeking a full refund and would happily sign a confidentially agreement once the refund is provided; until then I will follow up on everything included in this letter and anything else I can do to get this story out to the public and re-coop my money Should you require any more support documentation please feel free to contact meThank you in advance for your help with this matter, [redacted]

Hello [redacted],I am responding in regards to ID number - [redacted].Perfect Arch is a high end eyebrow studio offering 3D Microblading, eyebrow shaping, and lash services. We opened June 2016 and have not raised our prices until now. We follow a similar pay structure as Ulta salons- where stylists are...

promoted (and prices are adjusted) as they advance to higher levels based on their experience, education, and skill set. We raised our prices effective July 1st, 2017, for only our owner Sarah [redacted], who became a Master Technician. This was communicated to all clients via email and then followed up with a phone call. Each client had 30 days or more notice about the price increase. Furthermore, if a client wanted to stay at the price when originally booked, we offered to schedule them with our Advanced Technician. In response to [redacted]- She originally booked the appointment on 4/8/2017 using our online booking system. Our online booking system states our pricing- "is subject to change at any time." In April, Perfect Arch had one technician performing the service of 3D Microblading. The price for the service on 4/8/2017 was $495. Since April, we have added more technicians creating a pay structure as explained previously. [redacted] received our pricing update email on 6/21, informing her of Master Technicians cost $995 and Advanced Technicians cost $495.Her microblading appointment was scheduled with Sarah, Master Technician, on 10/28 (giving her 4 months notice). She responded to our email asking if this price increase effected her appointment. We responded letting her know Sarahs prices have increased; and that she has the option to book with Francesca, Advanced Technician at the price of $495. [redacted] chose to reschedule her appointment through our online booking system with Francesa for 10/24. As a business we have successfully advertised and educated our clients on the price increase. We provided our clients with the option to reschedule appointments with our technicians based on pricing. Furthermore, our website has been updated providing this information publicly. Please let us know if you require any additional information. We look forward to resolving this matter in a positive manner.Best, Heidi [redacted]  Studio Manager  Perfect Arch

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Good Afternoon,I am responding in regards to a complaint submitted on 9/8/2017 with the assigned ID of [redacted]. I, [redacted] filed this complaint against The Perfect Arch. To clarify I have copied the information provided to you from The Perfect Arch with my response to each and a conclusion.[redacted] purchased 2 gift cards in our studio in the amount of $250 each, for a total of $500. [redacted] intended to use these gift cards as a gift of her mother, [redacted]. [redacted] was scheduled to come into our studio to receive Microblading with Francesca. With circumstances out of our control, Francesca left her employment with Perfect Arch. [redacted] was notified of this and her appointment was cancelled. Response:  My mother beat Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009 due to the side effects of chemo she COMPLETELY lost her eyebrows. After consulting with the American Cancer Society (ACS) local office (where we took classes in 2009 on make-up application and wig care) about micro-blading 3D eyebrows I was referred to the Perfect Arch specifically a tech named Francesca.  On May 13, 2017 I went to the salon located at 191 Walton Street Syracuse, NY 13202 decided a 250.00 gift card would be a great for Mother’s Day falling on Sunday May 14, 2017 & a 250.00 gift card for my Mother’s Birthday falling in Wednesday May 17, 2017.  I explained all of this to the person at the desk before I agreed to purchase the gift cards my Mother had undergone Chemo; I had contacted the local ACS office and specifically asked if this would “take” to her skin in light of everything she’s been through. I was told by the Perfect Arch representative at the desk she would be an ideal candidate. I also inquired about the cost for these serviced to be provided specifically by Francesca, I was told that charge was 495.00. There was no explanation about different levels or costs of the in-house technicians. On Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 3:10pm my mother received an email stating the salon was unable to contact her by phone and her appointment was being cancelled. This email was signed by Heidi listing a phone number of [redacted]. A second cancellation email was sent July 19, 2017 at 3:16pm leaving 21 hours before the appointment was set to start.  My mother and Heidi exchanged phone calls and it was reviled to my mother Francesca abruptly left her employment with Perfect Arch. My mother was offered to make an appointment with another technician but the only remaining technician was a master technician this title drives the price to 995.00. My mother made me aware of the situation on Saturday July 22, 2017 as I am the one who purchased the gift cards and we both agreed 995.00 was not something we were willing to pay as she can just continue to draw eyebrows on as a make-up application.  On Saturday July 22, 2017 I called [redacted] and explained we are no longer in need of the gift cards as they were purchased for the 495.00 package specifically with Francesca and I would like a time to come in for a refund as the salon no longer offers the service with the technician recommended by the ACS. On that same day Heidi returned my phone call at 2:03pm to discuss the options we have with the gift cards such as eyebrow shaping and tinting. On Monday July 24, 2017 I read the entire Perfect Arch website and it still lists the Advanced Technician as Francesca [redacted] with a price of 495.00. That same document also states customers are required to give 72 hour notice of cancellation or a 50% cost of that particular service will be charged. Note my mother was given a 21 hour cancellation. Nowhere on the website does it discuss refunds nor does it say the gift card cannot be returned nor does it say they hold no cash value. At 4:41pm I called [redacted] and left a voicemail explaining the options will not work as my mother has NO eyebrows to shape or tint and I again requested a time to set to receive a refund.  [redacted] had called and spoke directly to myself regarding the gift cards she had purchased. [redacted] declined and stated that she purchased the gift cards to use only with Francesca. Gift cards are purchased to use at Perfect Arch, not with a specific Technician. [redacted] stated she would seek alternatives as I was unable to refund her gift cards. Response: The education of gift cards needed to take place at the time if purchase not after the salon decided to make a personnel issue of Francesca leaving her employment a customer service issue involving price gouging many clients.
