Review: This company doesn't keep a word with me. I wanted to install 200 sq. feet floor with solid hardwood. I met with [redacted] on 7/28/2014. I paid $350 on that day. The contract include T-molding provided by Perfect Flooring. He promised that he will send someone that Friday. So, I took a day off to be at home. Nobody came and [redacted] didn't let me know. I called him and he told me Saturday is the day. Again, I stayed at home on Saturday. Again , no one showed up and I got a phone call from his subcontractor. He told me that he got a phone call from [redacted] but he can't be in. And he told me that he will come in next Tuesday. On Tuesday, the subcontractor came in late since [redacted] apparently didn't give him the correct address. They started installation but couldn't finish T-molding work since [redacted] failed to provide them. If [redacted] provided them beforehand or delivered those to my house on that day, everything would complete on that day. With the material , it will only take 1 hour max. But, subcontractor couldn't finish the work because there isn't T-molding. I paid $250 to him. But, [redacted] never calls me back to explain this. I called up him many times, he basically says tomorrow and calling me back. He never calls me. it's been almost 1 month. My floor is not usable at all. Whenever he told me tomorrow, I have to be at home which means I will take a day off. So, I kept losing my vacation day for this. I don't think I can trust [redacted] or Perfect flooring any more.Desired Settlement: Contract was for $700 including all materials and I already paid $600. I want $300 to be refunded since I don't think I can find another contractor for just installing T-moldings also Perfect flooring forced me to take unnecessary vacation. Nobody will come in for just a small work for small dollar. Or, I want Perfect flooring to clearly finish the remaining work (no lie any more) by 9/15/2014. If they can't find someone to do that they should refund my money.

Response:

concerning complaint 1[redacted]

We are waiting on T-molding they were back ordered. As soon as t-molding are available for pick up they will be delivered and installed and customer would then be expected to pay the remaining 100$ for the overall Estimate given for job.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is simply a lie that T-moulding is back-ordered. They haven't ordered it right away.

Review: While repairing my floor, the installer damaged my bedroom door and wall. On April 11th, I notified the business owner and he assured me that the door would be replaced. We discussed an upgrade to a better door at an additional cost of $70. For the past two months, I have repeatedly been given dates on which the new door would be delivered and installed but nobody has ever arrived nor has anyone ever called to tell me that they would not be coming. As a result, I have missed two days of work and spent countless hours waiting for them to show up. About three weeks ago, the owner agreed to provide the upgraded door at no additional cost, but since that time, installation has been scheduled four more times - again, no door and no call. My phone calls have been answered with increasing abruptness and I was told that the door would be dropped off (at that point, I was happy enough to deal with the installation myself). I was even told during one call that the door would be dropped off THAT DAY - didn't happen. Finally, on June 10th, I sent a polite text message to the owner (attached), requesting an explanation AND the door. I have not received a response.Desired Settlement: I would either like to have the door as promised (solid core and stained) delivered to my house OR a cash settlement equal to the cost of purchasing and finishing a solid core replacement door as well as the cost of the repairs to my wall. I estimate the cost at $200.
