Perfect Pavers, Inc. Reviews (3)

Perfect Pavers did the pavers for the swimming pool deck in my summer home in Boca Raton, Florida. It was a complete transformation from the old, cracked concrete pavement and it turned out beautifully. Ron, who was in charge of the project, kept me informed about the progress and went beyond to ensure that the job was done meticulously and on time. Everyone compliments on my new pool deck and I would like to thank everyone at Perfect Pavers!

I've always wanted a patio in my backyard so that I can enjoy my yard to the fullest as much of the year as possible. I wanted to get a grill, maybe even a porch swing and a table in order to eat outside, either alone or with company. Once I finally bought my dream home, I knew that the first thing I needed to do is get my patio exactly how I wanted it. I got some good recommendations about getting my patio paved by Perfect Pavers, so I called them first of course. I got an appointment right when I needed it, and it was done incredibly fast. My patio with all those pavers installed is great. I spend all my time there now, and couldn't be happier with my beautiful new patio.

Jul 2015, $9,600, patio, concrete brick pavers, residential

Review: Perfect pavers was hired to complete driveway, front steps to home, and patio in backyard. They completed the job around Nov 2014 and upon completing the job there was already issues with the step color. He notified us that it was moisture from the brick and it would go away. After having it completely dried the color still was not correct on the grey brick, but instead the brick is brown. The step bricks need to be changed to be correct color we ordered. The next issue is that the driveway is sinking in multiple spots when it rains and the bricks have now shifted. The sidewalk in the front of driveway has also cracked leading to more damage. Since the driveway was done only 2 months ago this should not be occurring. I have tried contacting multiple times to fix the issues as the job was just completed. I took photos of the sinking driveway, shifted bricks, and raised/cracked sidewalk. One of his bricks came off the step as I was walking and seriously injured my leg, as I almost broke my ankle. He has not contacted me back saying he will fix the issues and keeps ignoring me. We have paid him in full for the work and he is avoiding fixing his errors. Like I said right as work was finished brick color of steps was not good and bad bricks. Shortly after (30 days) the driveway starts to sink, bricks shift, bricks come off and injury occurs, and sidewalk cracks and raises. I need him to come fix the problems and complete the job as expected and promised by him.Desired Settlement: I would like him to change the front step bricks to the correct color of the grey as the bricks he put down were bad bricks and damaged. I would like him to fix the sinking driveway and replace the sidewalk that is now cracked. The current condition is unacceptable and is not work he promised. I paid in full and have receipt. I need the work fixed ASAP. Thank you.

Response:

This letter is a response to [redacted]’s complaint regarding work performed at his home.I have been to [redacted]’s house several times to document that his driveway is not shifting or sinking in any way. I took pictures and measurements to verify that his driveway has not moved in anyway and more than meets or exceeds ICPI standards and specifications. [redacted] has a problem with his sidewalk raising up and down due to freeze thaw conditions during the winter and he is confusing this movement thinking it is his driveway that is moving, we have documented that the driveway has not moved. The sidewalk was cracked before any work was performed at [redacted]’s . we have pictures of the sidewalk“ BEFORE and AFTER” and they clearly show that the sidewalk was cracked and had signs of additional problems before any work was done..we were not hired to make any determination as to why his concrete sidewalk was cracked or to make any diagnosis as to why it may have cracked. This was clearly a preexisting condition that [redacted] is trying to say we caused. The “BEFORE and AFTER” pictures clearly show that we did not crack his sidewalk. With regard to the color variations in some of the fullnose pavers on his steps. I had a representative from the manufacturer come to [redacted]’s to verify his complaint and to see if any of his complaints were valid. I have a letter from the representative that clearly states that there are no issues with the installations and that it meets all their guidelines. The representative also stated As per our catalog “ Shade variations are inherent in colored concrete products using natural raw materials.” And they do not warranty that their colors will match. The representative also sent me pictures from his visit to [redacted]’s house documenting that there are no product defects. The manufactures representative documented that there were brown streaks or stains on some of the fullnose that was most likely caused by either landscape chemicals or iron/metals in [redacted]’s water source or combination of that may have caused minor discoloration and was not a product defect. The steps receive water from sprinklers that are misdirected on the property and this may be [redacted]’s entire problem as the driveway and back patio are all the same color and are not affected in any way as they are not sprayed with contaminated water. Staining from water or chemicals is not a manufacturer’s defect and therefore not a warrantable condition.[redacted]’s also listed his job as $19000 dollars and this is also incorrect ...the entire job was just over $15000. [redacted] also stated in his complaint that we caused the crack in his sidewalk, which before and after pictures clearly show that we did not cause as it was a preexisting condition. His driveway has in no way shifted or sank and has been documented over time with pictures/measurements and by the manufacturer’s representative.[redacted]’s desired settlement is for us to replace a sidewalk that we did not crack or cause to crack. This is a preexisting condition and was not part of the original job and is not our responsibility. ..we were not hired to make any determination as to why his concrete sidewalk was cracked or to make any diagnosis as to why it may have cracked. This was clearly a preexisting condition that [redacted] is trying to say we caused. The “BEFORE and AFTER” pictures clearly show that we did not crack his sidewalk. With regard to the color of his fullnose pavers on the steps the manufacturer’s representative inspected them and said that there are no manufacturing defects and they do not warranty against any color variations as it is written in their catalog. The manufacturer’s representative also stated and documented with pictures that any brown staining that may have occurred is most likely due to iron in [redacted]’s water supply and poss ible contamination from landscaping products and is by no means any type of manufacturing or installation defect. So at this time Perfect Pavers Inc. reserves the right to decline to perform any additional work at [redacted]’s home with regard to the items in his complaint as they are not and have been deemed by the manufactures representative not to be defect. Any damage that may or may not have occurred to any of the products in question has occurred as a result of preexisting conditions and or other conditions or actions that may be present or have occurred on [redacted]’s property and were not caused by Perfect Pavers Inc. and are therefore not warrantable by Perfect Pavers Inc.
