Perfect Temp Heating and Cooling Company Reviews (4)

Perfect Temp Heating & Cooling 6026 Curtier Drive Unit F Alexandria, VA 22310 5/30/14 Ref: [redacted] *** Firstly, I would like to apologize for the distress, confusion, and disappointment you experienced with our company in the past and recently. Perfect Temp takes great appreciation in the work that we do. On July 22, 2013 [redacted] had an appointment scheduled, the work that was to be performed was located outside and no one was needed to be present to complete the task at hand. We do inform the customer of this convenience to help with hectic work schedules. Once the job was completed a copy of the receipt was given where it does state at the bottom of our invoices (Service – Limited Warranty – Parts and Labor One Year). The limited warranty for service means you have 30 days for a no-charge re-visit if needed. Unfortunately, I must point out that the no-charge portion for service has expired. Fortunately, I can say that the parts and labor portion of the warranty is still covered for up to one year. The reason why we have a charge for service is because it will determine if the unit in question is not working due to faulty equipment installed or an entirely different issue. To get a proper diagnosis the unit has to be inspected and a cause for error cannot be determined by simply eyeing it down. Since the original issue was handled by [redacted] ***s’ home warranty company, we therefore suggest that she contacts them and files a re-visit claim and in doing so that would take care of her paying the service call fee out of pocket because her warranty company would handle it. To show good will if [redacted] doesn’t want to file a re-visit claim with the warranty company, we would gladly come out to her residence and diagnosis the issue at a 10% discount. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Review: Perfect Temp came to diagnose a problem with my HVAC system on 7/20/13 and on the invoice it states "system operating normal at this time". I would not call my warranty company & pay $100 to have them come to evaluate a normal/working system. Shortly after [redacted] left, I called & he came back to see it was in fact not working & said he needed to order a part. On 7/22/13 he came back to replace it without actually telling me he was doing so & my husband happened to run into him & got a receipt. 5/12/14 my HVAC system is not producing cold air so it is turned off and I call them because the invoice states "New Equipment warranty - Labor 1 year; Service - Limited warranty - Parts and Labor One year". [redacted] the operator tells me that [redacted] will charge me a $75 svc fee to just come see if the "less than year old" condensor fan, motor and dual capacitor" were in fact not working. My question is: why does this receipt state that their is warranty but says nothing about a service fee? [redacted] should have done right by his customer and come to diagnose the parts he installed - it's the cost of doing business.Desired Settlement: Just come to check the parts replaced and if work needs to be done, I wish for an explanation and if nothing needs to be done, I wish for that explanation as well. It is the right thing to do and after the poor service, it would help clear your name.
